Cassi | Reviewer: Cassi | 8/3/07 I just started listening to Flyleaf and let me just say... Their music blows me away. I have never liked 'screamo', but Lacey makes it sound so awesome and I absolutely love when, and how, she uses her screams. It adds to the emotional aspect of the music and she's not screaming just to scream. I read a review by iTunes about the band and it was saying "There isn't much here to differentiate Flyleaf from the zillions of other similarly styled bands out there right this moment, aiming for the same goal- to join My Chemical Romance at the top of the heap". I think they couldn't be any more wrong. Flyleaf offers inspiring lyrics, which is something many bands with the same sound offer none of. My favorite song by them would have to be 'Cassie' (not just because that's my name) because it is so uplifting and definately a message to the people who are afraid to be open Christians because of much of the media today. The fact that Lacey is saying that she would give her life for her beliefs is so inspiring and makes me even prouder to be a Christian. Their music is amazing and inspirational and I LOVE IT!!! Lacey's lyrics and voice are so uplifting, I can't stop listening to All Around me and Fully Alive. Especially after hearing All Around Me is when i fell in love with Flyleaf. Lacey sings about God so openly, its so inspiring to hear such deep and emotional feelings expressed in today's society. I can honestly say that i feel closer to God then i ever have, more so then my youth group or my minister have. I think the reason is because Lacey is young and Flyleaf is actually widely known that it just really hits home. Her voice is captivating and her lyrics are so moving i cant help but replay the cd over and over again and i never get tired of it. i think this is getting too long...but ill end with this. if 1 out of every 5 people were like Lacey (in addition to the people who already are), this world would be such a better place today. Lacey rocks so damn much that no frickin' word can comprehend just how awesome she is (that's not describing how HOT she is yet ^_^).
