It is one of their most honest on From Under The Cork Tree. The music video makes perfet sense with it as well. If ppl knew more about the nature of Vampire's they would get it. I believe Pete was going on the fact that Vampire's are different inside and out and they understand this from the day they are bitten and changed. And that all Vampire's know what they have lost by changing. That is a normal social life, ability to live in sunlight, and they can't live the same way as normal ppl. They feed on something unacceptable by human's. This makes perfect sense because this song is about being rejected by your peers and just messing up in general. "I don't blame you, for being you, but you can't blame me for hating it" If you don't understand how that connects then u need a serious check on ur brain. Pete feel like a vampire, excluded from everyone because he's different. He's an extremely talented writer. A visionary boy in my eyes. As for the title, Sixteen Candles was a movie shot in his hometown, Willmette IL, and he's saying he's sick of it, hence the "a little less.." i forgot what the Touch Me is about.
