Epic! | Reviewer: Alissa Lee Way | 7/27/11
This song is absolutely awesome! i'm still listening to it in 2011!! and i'm just 14 ,, im in love with the dreamy tune of the chorus, i must say patrick's voice is just charming he has a lullaby voice the type that charms you to sleep nevertheless it is powerful, and so are the lyrics,so strong!!. the drum beats .. the guitar rythym .. the bass .. the vocals, all put together to create an epic song .. !!
Incredible song! | Reviewer: Tom | 7/11/10
The lyrics are good, but the music is even better. Fabulous! The melody is nice; the synthesizer adds a perfect bit of melancholy, and the chorus is POWERFUL! I love the way it builds in intensity and almost has a dream-like, trance-inducing quality to it.
Gotta admit, I didn't know much about Fall Out Boy until my brother burned a CD of "Infinity on High" and sent it to me back in 2007. He also introduced me to Jimmy Eat World.
I supposed most fans of these groups are in their 20s or 30s, but I just hit the "Big 50" a few months ago. I'll still be listening to these jams when I'm 70, God willing.
Fall Out Boy is one kick-ass band!
Wow... | Reviewer: Andy | 4/12/10
"I'm a stitch away from making it, and a scar away from falling apart." Anyone in their mid to late thirties who has a successful career but a totally unsucessful love-life can completely get that line. Especially when you've had to finish with someone because a great opportunity has come up (put love on hold because young hollywood's on the other line). And who hasn't then been to a party, seen their ex there looking amazing and had to 'watch her work the room'? Totally awesome track by a f*cking awesome band.
Very Well Done | Reviewer: Rohan | 2/18/09
I really enjoyed parts where the volume changed. There was a wonderful intro to the song, and the beat was modern yet suited the punk genre of Fall Out Boy. Another great song for another great band. =D
best fob song EVER no doubt! | Reviewer: mitzzzy | 1/5/09
'blood cells pixilate and eyes dialate, and the full moon pills got me out on the street at night'
omg hahaha story of my life. if you've done e u can relate to those parts. if those parts aren't about e than strike me dead now because that's a pretty damn good explanation of what it's like...
this song breaks my heart though!

for f*cks Sake | Reviewer: Shannon | 10/14/07
Can no one on here appreciate a good song without starting in on how sad their life is? How about "wow I love this song, it really makes my day better"?
All that aside "The (After) Life of the Party" is a fantastic song. The lyrics are completly beautiful and so is the hook.
Cheer up emo kids.
i agree jenna! | Reviewer: FOB4EVR! | 8/7/07
man i completley agree with jenna on this one! its so true, the first time i heard it while lookin at the lyrics, i got a little teary-eyed, it was so beautifully done! i give my home-boys their "props", they really did well
wow. | Reviewer: jenna | 6/6/07
this is one of those songs that you listen to late at night when you try to sleep, and a tear runs down your face. "Singing songs that could only catch the ear of the desperate" maybe i love this song because i know that music is all i have. not to sound super emo-depresso, but its kind of true.
