I used to think that Amy Lee was a person that didn't believe in God, but after listening to the lyrics in her songs I really believe that she is a christian. Thats great because there are only two places you go when you die (Heaven or Hell) and the only way to get to Heaven is asking The Lord Jesus Christ into your heart. And I love her songs, and I love Amy Lee!

This song is everything about me. What scares me the most is that i can't stop cutting myself. its part of me that i do when i feel im useless and that im not needed and nobody loves me. However whenever i listen to this song, it answers all my worries and problems so i dont have to think at all anymore. This song is everything about me. Without it, i dont know how i would have moved on in life. i am VERY grateful fr this song and...I LUVVVVVV EVANESCENCE!!! ^^

It's nice to know that I'm not alone in this world with self-harm... It satisfies, as does the thought of suicide, but God wants to be our only satisfaction. Will the question of suicide ever be answered? Who knows, but meanwhile, Amy Lee puts out a powerful song that's after my own heart.

This song is not the original version, Soul Embraced, a Christian Death Metal band, Wrote this song and performed it on there album: For the Incomplete. Personally I prefer Soul Embraced's version cuz I like Death Metal, and its alot more brutal.

Firstly, I would like to agree with you.
This song matches a lot of peoples lives.
Secondly, I would like to say congratulations on stopping. I myself find it harder and harder to resist cutting. However, it helps by praying, so in a way it sort of matches my life as well.

This is prolly the most accurate song of my life. I am a recovering self injurer (SI) and yet *gasp* I am a Christian. Tourniquet depicts my life and how I feel at times.
The first chorus is so awesome, esp " I'm pouring crimson regret and betrayal" everytime I felt betrayed or broken down the "crimson regret" ( blood) came pouring out.
Anyways, this song tells my story bc when I hit ROCK BOTTOM I wasso ashamed I let myself go that far and needed to know i could still be Saved and be brought back to my Father. I still struggle daily with the thiught of cutting or SI, but itll never go away. Peple are tempted in different ways and thats my temptation- nit drugs or alcohol, but the release i gwt from harming myself when ppl harm me. God knows I've been doing awesome with going straight to Him!!!!
I know this was all over the place, sorry!!!! I'm on my iPhone and its still hard to type and crap!! Plus my mind is scattered!!!
I love Ev. My niece, before she was killed in feb this yr, lived them as well. Thats something we will always share.

Tourniquet is one of the eleven songs from the first official album of a famous Gothic-Rock band Evanescence, Fallen.
This song is very strong and maintains all beats with bass and electronic keyboard. The story in the song is about God and Jesus Christ that are asked for salvation and redemption. First, the singer, Amy Lee, was brilliant and keen at her skill to express all feeling of people who desperate for salvation and redemption. Moreover, she sang like a person whose soul was reaped and torn-apart and makes audiences thrill and chill from the hollow of her voice. Next, the main musical instrument is bass that suitable because it maintain the whole song with strong and fast pace of rhythm which keep harmony to the speed of singer’s voice and emotion of the song. In addition, you could enjoy the song from its strong beat and hollow voice with the great adaptation of the Holy Bible’s information to the song which you could call this song a living and contemporary of the phrase from the Holy Bible.However, if you are not a hardcore listener, the strong and powerful music like this song and Gothic-Rock will make you ear burn and get headache easily. Lastly, I prefer that if you are hardcore listener and lover of Gothic-Rock, the song Tourniquet and might be the rest of the album; Fallen by Evanescence should e your first choice.On the other hand, if you are not like this stuff, just turn away and listen your lovely Pop music.
In summary, the song Tourniquet is one of the greatest songs of Gothic-Rock style song in my opinion. Moreover the music band, Evanescence is one of my most favorite, too. I give it a thumb up with all of my heart.
