There was this quirky, very unusual guy standing behind me. He was trying to talk to me the entire time and said, "What's your favourite Evanescence song?" I was like, "God, where do I start..." He goes, "I think my favourite song is Angel Of Mine!" I started pissing myself laughing and went, "Uh, hate to break it to ya, but that song isn't by Evanescence. It's by a singer named Amanda Somerville, often mistaken for one of their songs..." He goes, "Oh, really?!" and looks totally deflated. Then he's like, "Well...I do like their song Restless, too...that's an Evanescence song..." And I'm like, now actually trying to stifle my laughter, "Oh, dude, I hate to break that to ya either, but...that song also isn't by Evanescence! It's by Within Temptation!" He looks totally fucking surprised, and I'm like, "Haha, you in line for the right band, here?" And he didn't look too happy, I really think he thought those were Ev songs and was not fucking around with me by saying he thought they were. Then he finally said that he liked My Immortal, and I just laughed fakely and rolled my eyes. In the final analysis, that's all the artist (in this case the composer) has to justify their being a spokesman of their time. Yes, it's WT. Amy Lee is good, but not that good. A special note for anonymous... do your homework. I have most of Evanescence's LPs & EPs, & I cant find "Restless" on any of them. So... unless you have access to a live version that I haven't heard of yet, I'll continue to believe it's WT. If you feel that it's "E", please post the link & I'll let you know which album I think the song is from. This is so obviously Sharon den Adel's voice...you can tell by the purity and clarity of the notes, and the keyboard work is cleary WT too.
