Beautiful | Reviewer: Rami | 6/26/09
I can't stop listening to this song! Everything fits together so beautiful and it's absolutely heart wrenching. The lyrics are wonderful.
Yes, it does contain Mozart's most famous Requiem, but I wouldn't consider it a cover because the dominant melody is all Amy Lee's own. And actually, with the story behind Mozart's piece, I think it is so awesomely fitting with the hopelessness and defeat of the lyrics.
Garrrrr I luvsss eeet.

Amazing song, it doesn't matter if it's a Mozart cover, it's still amazing.
And yeah, Ariel love, no-one actually gives a shit about how "good" your singing is. So don't brag. Everyone is arrogant but you have to be the most arrogant person i have ever met.
So shut it.
Amazing song, Amy Lee has to be one of the best singers in music (:
Response to Ariel, and to how kickass Evanescence is. | Reviewer: Anonymous | 5/27/09
Personally one of her best, and makes me sad to realize it's a cover of Mozart, not her own. But she most definitely would have made him outrageously proud...
I'm a teenage vocalist myself, and you are correct, no one is professional with less than 10 years of vocal training. And it takes many more years to truly develop your own vocal quality, and as younger voices usually change from soprano to alto throughout the high school years and even after college from what my conductor expresses to our class, there's no way you have been developed enough already to be a professional. I believe that to be professional you have to train for hours a day, every day, without skipping around, for years at a time. And obviously if you think you're better than everyone else and you have nothing left to learn, since you're a 'professional' per se, then you aren't one. To put it simply, someone is always above you, and you ALWAYS ALWAYS have something to critique or improve within your performances/music.
Also, American Idol: mostly CRAP TELEVISION. all staged, usually. Some good vocalists have been introduced and usually use the show as a step stone to kick start their career, but that by no means makes them professional.
So remember, be humble. If not, in an audition they aren't going to pick you because of your attitude. No one likes to work with someone who's arrogant.
Back to Amy Lee. Freaking awesome. No other way to describe it.

Amazing song =) By the way people, stop bashing the cocky 12 year old with curse words and stuff. You're bashing the kid, meanwhile you're acting like you're 6. ....Idiots.... Especially YOU "Kaitlyn". Grow up.
Hot Fuck | Reviewer: Kaitlyn | 1/21/09
This song is gorgeous. It's amazing to listen to and even more amazing to sing. I love Amy's voice so much. It's so hard to recreate her sound but when you get close you can feel it in your chest and diaphragm, (I have training singing both Soprano and Alto for chorus. Mainly I sing Soprano but I have the vocal quality of an Alto that lets me sing down there when I need to) just the way it resonates makes you not want to let go of those notes (Soprano failing, haha). But the clarity in her sound never ceases to amaze me.
And also, a quick note to you girls who think you're professional singers at 11 and 12 and that you're going to win American Idol: 1) Just because you win doesn't mean you're going to make it big. I, for one, can't stand those singers and know many people who feel the same. 2)You aren't professional singers. Professional singers have spent their whole lives training classically and still train today. 3) The surety with which you feel you are the Shit, really proves that you do not have voices that people are looking for. You also probably don't have the vocal stamina or the diaphragm strength to sing like a professional. 4) With attitudes like yours, no one will take you seriously. You ARE NOT professional singers. Oooh, so your mom trained you but you're afraid to sing in front of people (professional, my ass). I come from an immediate family of musicians. My mom has a voice like you wouldn't believe and so do most of the women in her family. My dad is a heavy musician, so is his mom. Just because you can sing, does not make you a professional and gives you no right to act as if everyone else is below you. I know plenty of girls like you, and they can't sing and no one likes them. Learn a little humility. You aren't professionals. You may have a voice, but that doesn't make you a professional. ESPECIALLY if you're scared to sing in front of people.
And, Ariel, there's no way in hell you can sing better than I can. I've been soloing since I was around 10, and I'm still training as a singer on my own and with my chorus.
O hai thar. | Reviewer: Anonymous | 12/8/08
HAHAHAAHH. That laugh was devoted to all you who think your going to become stars on american idol. Keep doing what you do because, i enjoy watching you in blissful ignorance. Anyways the ong it self is good tho the lyrics and meaning would make a lover who was forwarded this song wonder what the hell the person is thinking because it seems the one singing cant decide if she loves this (partner) or not heh feel bad for that other person there going to systematically lose themselves in this conflict.
Kinda creepy how close this fits. | Reviewer: N147258 | 10/26/08
This hit me in the heart, kinda creepy how well she redid the song to make it fit so well, it's really amazing, and I guess this had to happen to her as well, how else can she be so good at hitting it right on the head?
AWSOME!! | Reviewer: EVfan | 9/8/08
I love this song so much. Amy Lee did such an amazing job. Lacrymosa is inspired by Mozart's piece 'Lacrymosa'. She played a lot of classical music when she was younger. And she really loved Mozart, and always wanted to take 'Lacrymosa' and make it over.
She did a great job!!!
