When I was four years old I lost my little brother now thirteen I have a a real sadness problem i mean it isn't depression well if someone talks about him I burst out cryin I would write stories and poetry to help cope with the sadness then for my twelth b-day my sis gave me a Evanscence cd with hello on it and I didn't get it at first then after I figured it out I understood and I cried and cried my boy friend just recently past away in a wreck the man who killed him in the other car was drunk I sat in my room and listened to this song on repeat for five hours strate I love this and the part that goes
suddenly I know i'm not sleeping hello I'm still here all that's left of yesterday
makes me tear the most cause that line was playing when my mom sat down and told me what happened that was a month ago
I love you Amy and I'm sorry about ur sister any one who knows what I'm feeling can relate to justin and i

Sad but wonderful song | Reviewer: Ikram | 11/7/09
I like it. Every time i listen 2 this song, i feel that it's talking about me, my mum, my life... My mum died 2 years ago becoz of cancer... i was 14.. I watched her dying day by day, i wanted to fight and kill that illness which killed her.. i didn't do anything about it.. I wish i could bring her back to life.. I miss her...

I had a friend who died when we were both 7. Of course that was 21 years ago. When this song first came out, I imediatly thought of her. I don't think any other song could fit a young girl dying the way she did. At the time, everyone thought she was just really ill and no one knew what she died from until the test results came back long after. The results came back stating that she was a diabetic. We're lucky to have quick results these days. RIP "JJ". This song is for you.
Song for tears | Reviewer: Anonymous | 7/25/09
I didn't cry until I got the lyrics. Now that I see them with the song going, I can't stop thinking of my late mother who died when I was ten. It's been a few years, but I'm still not over it. This entire song could tell my story.

my interpretation | Reviewer: shai-shai | 5/24/09
my interpretation of this song is that someone close to her is going through some difficult times, most likely to do with a death, and she is trying to help them through it but they are pushing her away...

Hi everybody..
As i read the lyric, i see a twofold story.Somehow i see it both from within and from without the person, the song is about. Certain parts of the lyric "Hello, I'm your mind giving you someone to talk to" and "Don't try to fix me, I'm not broken" seems to me to be from the point of view of someone, who is mentally ill. Other part of the lyric, namely "Has no one told you she's not breathing?" puts it from a 3rd person viewpoint. My interpretation of this lyric is, that its certainly is about something terrible. Its about not realising some truth. But somehow i see the story beeing both within and outside the person, who the song is about.
Whatever | Reviewer: Sam | 5/1/09
I agree with ''clouds'' when he\she said that its about Amy Lee's sister who's dead ...
Yeah theres another song for her called "Like You"
it says :
"I Long To Be Like You
Lie Cold In the ground like you"
it wasn't clear untill she said
"I Long To Be Like you, SIS,
Lie Cold in the ground like you did"
now it's pretty obvious ..
I heard also that amy's husband died ..
So my interpritaion is that In the Song "Lithium" she might be talking about him too ..
