this song realy shows how mutch amy lee has affected us i heard many songs before but this song has a very strong impact actually when i heard it for the first time i get shocked how could she feel the words that way i lernt more about sadness feeling and love from her song and i knew then why amy performed "hello" the way she did cause her song was like astory of someone missin for her in the past that also made me love it in acrazy way cause i lost two young sisters i miss them and wanna always say to them hello.

if you're depressed, don't listen to this song!

course, it's kinda cool, but it's also sad, and as far as i can see, many people here seem to be depressed and listen to sad songs. that won't make it better, it just makes it worse. so, just stop and start to live! ;)

tthis song is wicked deep and i cant stop listening to it. i just listen over and over, and each time i listen to it, it effects me more and more, at first i listened to it when i was pretty deep in depression from a personal reason and it just made me feel somewhat better, now when i hear it i just think about how it is alot like my life and it makes me feel relief in a way. idk how to describe it, but thats just how this song hits me.
amy is such an influence on me and my life, her words seem to speak for my problems.

Shes talking about herself, as a child. Shes looking back on the past as if shes looking back on someone else. She remembers things from that innocent state and wants to forget but the pain is so deeply imbedded shes unable to reach past it anymore.
Shes metaphorically not breathing, she feels noone notices her past, noone notices the person she was the person she hides inside. To everyone else that person doesnt exist but she cannot hide from her
and the ghost haunts her everyday it follows her around and she cant avoid it. All thats left is the pain of yesterday
And I know this because I first heard this song when I was 11 years old and I was terribly bullied at school, I was bullied all through school and everyday i fight the battles that are left from it, and everyone looks at the outside and thats all they see...the surface. But underneath im a swiring mess, a loss of desperation and lonliness because everyday i remember the days when I had nothing and deserved nothing

the song was written about depression and hiding from your feelings, and going through it all with no one to talk to. rather, its a story of the death of someone who lost themselves to their depression and took their own life...
how tragic.

I think that Amy Lee wrote this song because of the fact that her little sister died at three years of age... I think that this song goes with Amy's song Bleed, which is about her sister's death as well.

i feel as though shes talking about herself, as though she has another person inside her, the lie.instead of living the moment shes locked up and puts up a front that isnt really her. when she say's....

i believe she means she doesn't feel alive anymore and that one day she will be able to break from her current state, but shes not so sure of herself because she hasn't noticed how badly hurt she is.

Well, I think tat this song is something to think of like your decidions that may have hurt someone becouse you did something. For example my friend gave me this song last month and not only this song. Next song was My Imortal! That means something to me. Maybe I hurted her because I left the city or something like that! I don"t know what do you think about it!

it's exactly like real life, not just a song, because when things go really really bad, you do think it's like a dream. and " Suddenly I know I'm not sleeping"...wow, just... Wow.

I know I may be a guy, but I'm incredibly emotional. listening to this, I can almost feel the feelings as if they were my own. I'm dealing with a very troubling relationship, with my own best friend, but listening to this makes me thankfull for what I have. Amy.. you are an amazing woman, and even though ive never met you, I truely feel for you.

the song reminds me of almost everyone i know that has died, when i first heard it it reminded me of my great aunts funeral, there were kids playing and it was raining and bells ringing, i remember vividly. Iv made videos with this song, it is so amazingly beautiful, im OBSESSED with Amy and my nickname is Amy-gasm because i love her so much
