Great song | Reviewer: Blair "Bobbias" Stacey | 8/2/06
This is a total classic, the bright synth horn section, the classic riffs, the cool solo, this song is quite under appreciated. Not to mention that lyrically it can have great meanings, as pointed out by the second review here. The song is about the adventure of life, about moving towards your goals, about leaving the past behind and looking to the future, all of this and more, and it certainly deserves better than it's gotten.
Children of Bodom make fun of TFC! | Reviewer: Hunter | 5/23/06
It's funny,my mom found Children of Bodom making fun of this song and singing it,it was funny, but they only sing to We're going to Venus. then its all instrumental and some The Final Countdown! in it. pretty funny
The anthem of my life | Reviewer: Ewa | 1/6/06
Why this song, not other Europe one? It's special. Final Countdown's text can be interpreted by many ways - I have made some since 1987. They can be optimistic or pesimistic, but always are UNIVERSAL AND COMPRISE A KIND OF VISION. Today "Venus" means "mission of my life" for me and I know I fulfill it.
It's the song of concentration before important and tough event but also an anthem of victory played when I succeed.
The song leads from one musical climate to other: soft keyboards turn to powerful drums and chants of the chours, then the guitars leading to the "orchestra of thriumph", ended with chours. Rock classic, also played at dance clubs.
