The Reviews about Sugar On The Floor (page 1/1)
------ performed by Elton John
wasn't an Etta fan until I heard Sugar on the Floor in 1999. | Reviewer: Anonymous | 6/1/09
Every one has that one song (or two) that speaks exactly what their heart is feeling. When I first heard 'Sugar on the Floor" I was driving through Mobile, Alabama just searching through the local blues station. I only caught the last few lines of lyric, but it was enough to bring me close to tears. I was hooked. I didn't know who sang it or even the title...just that i was something about "sugar". It's a Kiki Dee and Elton song for sure, but Etta she gives it wings. You can feel the emotion and passion. Sugar on the Floor ranks right up there with my favorite song of all, "Adore" by Prince.
I've played both of these songs once or more a week for the past 10 years.
Every time I play Sugar on the Floor for someone who never heard it before, its like they been touch by an Angel...they always want me to play over again and again.
Sugar on the Flo...belongs to Etta James! | Reviewer: sxlchocolate | 9/29/07
I heard Etta sing it live for the first time in Toronto at the 2006 Toronto Jazz Festival and I just cried...I had never heard the song before but now it's one of my love staples...I completely agree w/the last reviewer...you've gotta hear Etta blow this one...she's brings the HEAT to it!!! (though I LOVE Elton for soooooooo many of his songs too!)

I know everyone loves Elton, including myself. But have you heard Etta James version? Yes that Etta who sang the ever popular "At Last". Check out iTunes for it and see for yourself how good it is. Especially how soulful it is.
