Can't help but love this music | Reviewer: Wes Day | 1/12/06 As a songwriter in the Tennessee Valley Area, its easy to become a zombie computer programed to write AABA songs that sound like they would maybe, possibly, hopefully, get cut by some "artist" who could take it to the charts. Its funny too, because any "Authority" on the subject of songwriting these days will point you into the direction of standardized, hamoginized, formulaic methods. Thank the lord for Elliot Smith to show you that the challenge in writing descent music comes with a fight against those previously mentioned formulas.
