I bought the movie one day, and had to go out the next to buy the soundtrack. Enough about that though, the song is excellent. Simple, yet intriguing. Definately a good mixture of hard rock/punk with the celtic sound. I'll definately be getting some more of their music soon. It REALLY pumps up the whole movie right from the start and makes you get excited to watch the film. One of my fave songs and my fave film. I definetely plan on listening to more of Dropkick Murphys in the future. I had heard of them before the Departed, but I'd never heard anything by them. IF you go anywhere else in the world, that is what they are called, for some reason in America, we call them Irish rock. Flogging Molly on the other hand, is Irish rock, with the celtic music, and a couple members being from Ireland. Both bands rock out loud though. However, they are from Boston (hence the celtic inspiration) and also have a great song called Tessie. It's the official anthem of the Boston Red Sox and is played after every win at Fenway Park.
