------ performed by Dragonforce

yeh umm | Reviewer: lili | 2/18/08

well yes this song is GREAT! and yes i did hear of it on gh3

BUT this isnt the BEST song the have made
listen to starfire, or where the dragos rule, valley of the damned, or trail of broken hearts...then tell me this is the best song

yes it is a masterpiece i agree
the lyrics are amazing ZP's vocal range is completely in the next level of male siging and the guitar is unheard of

it absolutely amazing

personally i like starfire better....just my opinion

but the band isnt based on this song and this song alone...just bc of guitar hero 3

if you all say you like them so much then talk about their other songs too dont just compliment this one

Meaning of the Song. | Reviewer: Forge | 2/17/08

"Through the fire and the flames we carry on!"
They clearly want to continue the fight. The music itself is energetic and epic, like the aura WW2 had; people were fighting for a legitimate cause, despite the horror, or "pain." The tone is not dreary and disillusioned, as we view Vietnam, for instance.

I'd say the specific meaning could be a group of soldiers fighting for an intensely nationalistic or ideological cause. Or it could just be a life philosophy of epic effort or struggle against whatever darkness is out there. I'd argue that the meaning is generic, as it's vague enough to allow many interpretations. If something is a struggle for you, it's about that (because that's how you interpret it), but with serious optimism.

I have to Admit | Reviewer: Diego | 2/18/08

Orginally I've never heard a single thing about this Group or just know a single thing of them till Guitar Hero III. Yet still from a very blind stand point that doesn't know this group....there are very good and extremely impressive. I studied music for year and played one of most diffcult instruments out there. Just the pure Technical aspect of this song; "Throught the Fire and Flames" is nothing short of a walk in the park...not even that. To practice so hard and become consitant with a piece of music with such high difficulty is and every musicians highest struggles. I take my hat off to them for being even able at all to pull of such an arrangement to be so insanly difficult and yet be done so cleanly.

Meaning of the Song... | Reviewer: Anonymous | 2/14/08

This song can be about on of two things;

1.) A song about war from the point of view of a soldier who has come to his senses and doesn't want to fight anymore,

2.) A fantasy tale of a bunch of people's quest to escape from hell.

Cmon | Reviewer: Shane | 2/15/08

This Song Is A MasterPiece.....Actually Dragon Force Is Made Of Herman Li(Guitarist Backing Vocalist) Sam Totman(Also Guitarist) Zp Theart(Singer) Vadim Pruzhanov(Keyboard Piano Guitar Vocals) Dave Mackintosh (Drums Vocals) Fred Leclercq(Bass Electric Guitar And KeyBoards)

Dragon Force Is A Pretty Well Known Band Not Only Because Through The Fire And Flames But They Are A Very Good Lyrical And Instrumental Band......Yes TTFAF did make 126% The Amount Of money on INHUMAN RAMPAGE after they sold there song to gh3 but there records sales were even off the charts before that.......Anyway

great song | Reviewer: ......... | 2/13/08

this song rocks! dont get me wrong or anything but everyone says that dragonforce rocks because they played GH3. Come on. The song is insane but people need get over that no one cares if they play gh3 people love dragonforce before this and other people need to relize that they dont like dragonforce. They just like the song cause of gh3. Still good song.

...Dude....I mean....DUDE...... | Reviewer: Anonymous | 2/12/08

Absolutely insane. I don't care if they can't do it live; they have crafted an epic recording. So much technical work and difficulty, despite a simple chord progression. This music is the Bebop of Metal, and Dragonforce is the Gillespie/Parker combo.

The lyrics are tongue in cheek, I think. Basically a bunch of epic motifs casseroled together. Perfect.

Wow. | Reviewer: Anonymous | 2/4/08

Everything about DragonForce is amazing. The guitarists, Herman and Fred, are amazing. The drummer, Dave, is unbelievable. But there lyrics are even more better. They have so much meaning, it amazing!

Stop calling this song a masterpiece... typing all wrong because you can play the guitar and you came when you heard the song does not make you great and does not make them great. They have some talent, but they're just a bunch of grand-standers.

And the lyrics could match up with any adult-oriented pre-renaissance anime, I'm sure. These guys have a lot of potential to do something amazing, if they didnt make all of their stuff sound the same, which happens to sound like everyone else way before them.

This band has ruined the prospect of having a boner for me for a good year. D+

The Band. | Reviewer: Zippopotamus | 2/7/08

the band is made up of 5 members: Drums, Vocals, 2 Guitarists (Sam and Herman(the only two I remember the names of...)) and a Keyboard... Player... Keyboardist? Whatever, the beginning is actually the Keyboard, not the Guitars, but still... Simply Amazing.
PS: Steve Ouimette did the Guitar Work for the GH3 version of Devil Went Down to Georgia. He could do this... One of the Guitar Gods of Metal.
