The Reviews about Revolution Deathsquad (page 4/ 7)
------ performed by Dragonforce

They are amazing | Reviewer: Anonymous | 3/11/08

I am fanatic to roleplaying games and I, since my childhood, have always played video games and watched cool medieval movies, series and anime. Later I realized that I loved guitar solos and super-skilled guitarrists that didn't talk about satanic shits and heavy noises like metallica and slip-knot (fuck those idiots).

I love bands like Dragonforce that KNOW they are good and they can prove it by making full-speed solos and writting deep lyrics (they are so from Lord of the Rings style, that's a great attractive if you ask me). Few bands are this talented and it's very sad that so much people don't know them and they prefer Metallica and craps like that.

Thank You Dragonforce!!!! For your great music and for making me travel to the Middle Earth everytime I hear you!!!! Keep on your greatness and come to Colombia so I hear you live, yeah!!!!

If you're listening to DragonForce for the sake of lyrics, then you won't get much out of it unless you love Roleplaying/Roleplaying games.
Personally I like them because of the soloes.
This song is my favourite song of all time, with Through the Fire and the Flames on 2nd. I found this song over a year ago and It's still my favourite.

dragon force is an great band and there music is great there guitar solos fit great in the songs they don't suck and who ever said that they suck dosent know music when the see it or listen to it.

ahem... | Reviewer: ryuzakku | 2/1/08

For all of those who don't like the extensive solos, please don't go on flaming them because of it, Herman Li (Lead Guitarist and Producer) based a lot of what he plays off of video game music, which makes this band great for RPG's such as 2Moons or WoW. If you don't like the solo's (which sound great in epic battles:) ) don't listen to them! It's as easy as that.

Meh | Reviewer: EFG | 1/20/08

I believe the best thing to do if you don't like their live performances is to just not listen to them live. Their solos are incredible, the best I've ever heard, the lyrics can be kinda generic SOMETIMES, but usually they're pretty epic. They're probably my favorite band right now, and I DO intend to see them in concert, because I think they sound good live. Anyways, thats my 2 cents

Hmmm | Reviewer: Chazz | 1/8/08

Well the solo's are very good, its just when they go on a bit it begins gettng boring. There's a band called Dream Theater who are Prog rock and if you want exciting solo's listen to some of their songs. They are progressive so they do all kinds of things aswell. DragonForce, in my opinion are a very good band but after a while they are boring to listen to.

A better way to put is, say you listen to it 3-5 times then you move on to another song, and thats how it is with most bands for me. But DragonForce in particular are very, "Get with the times,"

Wow...just WOW! | Reviewer: Andi | 1/8/08

Dragonforce is absolutely crazy! In terms of speed they just own and for those saying they can`t do it live check out a live vid of "Through the fire and flames" and see yourself proven wrong. They may not play every single note they play on the album, so what? Many bands don`t do, the best example being Blind Guardian where it`s just impossible to play everything they record live, but that`s something good about recording, that you can put stuff in there you could never do live. And I think that`s perfectly ok as long as you have such amazing live power and skill as Blind Guardian and Dragonforce have!

So, Dragonforce is wonderfull, and they are seriously fun, those songs talk about battles and killing and shit and yet they are so funny it`s unbelievable!
One of them said: "You know, Dragonforce is just the coolest!" and that`s right, they may not be the best (that`s for me still Blind Guardian because of the feeling of their songs and Hansis awesome singing), but they are definetely the coolest!
Rock on!

I like their songs, if you are like me you dont listen to the lyrics in a song. You listen to the song. The solos are what makes it good for me, and i dont care if they suck live, i'll just not go see them in concert. But the recorded music is good, thats all that matters to me. The songs fuckin rock, i really dont give a shit if the band can't even play it.

Good Solo | Reviewer: kikflip | 12/10/07

To the review below me, some people appreciate the solos. I do somewhat agree with the extensive solos, but some people enjoy listening to just the guitars. So dragonforce is meant to apeal to those, not those who prefer lyrics. I fully appreciate the solos and could listen to them, and learn some on guitar, over and over again

My opinion | Reviewer: setsunayaki@yahoo.com | 12/5/07

I like dragonforce, but I do have a professional opinion of them. The lyric draws people together because the themes are different than most metal songs.

Most of their songs sound similar and one of the things about music is that at first listening to the whole song, it works. You then realize that in a 7 - 8 minute song, there are 90 - 120 seconds of lyrics. The rest of the song are solos.

So after a while...I started saying "Oh I don't want to listen to 6 minutes of Solos, I just rather listen to another song altogether. So I go to another Dragonforce song and encounter the same problem.

Don't get me wrong, I love metal and grew up on it, but I think some of their songs ae overkill and over the top. You don't need to listen to 5 - 7 minutes of Solos to prove a point. Pantera and Metallica are examples of this. The longer you make a solo, the harder it is for it to become memorable in your mind.

Also, after several albums revolving around the same theme...I think everyone could agree that with their talent and potential, to try something else.
