There is something quite inexplicable that happens to me when I hear it. It has happened perhaps for only three pieces of music in my life. That said, I have been searching for more for about two years now using modern tools like itunes genius, amazon recommendations and lists like this. I have found a lot of good music and spent hundreds of dollars but I am still searching. This song gives me a vibrant feeling that i haven't came across before but i have to say i like it. the music is absolutely brilliant and no matter how many times i listen it will keep on coming. Doves Rise | Reviewer: Steve | 1/9/09 Despit the fact that I consider myself a complete audio-phile, I have always scoffed at people that expressed such sentiments like music changing their lives, or giving their lives meaning. That said, I do experience a certain emotion at th sound of this song that I can't even put my finger on. All I know, is that I can't come close to getting tired of hearing it and it gets better every time I hear it. Although I can't say anything like "this song is the reason I'm alive now.." or "this song gives my life purpose..." the Doves' "Rise" has moved things inside of me whenever it plays.
