Everyone says that time heals, but I just don't think so. Time will never take the pain away. He had special needs, but died due to a virus that put him in MGH PICU for over 7 weeks. His special needs were related to Epilepsy and we all prayed that the seizures would stop. How could we know that the only way GOD could stop the seizures was to take him back home with him. I heard this song the other day for the first time and cried like it was December 3, 2006. Kenny Rogers has a song called "I am the Greatest", which always made me think of my Mikey Boy, now forever this one will too. Sleep with the Angels my little man, Mikey Boy, I love you, forever, Auntie our special little man | Reviewer: wendy | 1/20/08 i had never heard this song until after we lost our grandson to a rare heart defect after 25 days. my son and daughter in law used a website to keep everyone informed of andrews condition and in my son's journal updates he refered to andrew as their little man. after he passed away my daughter put the lyrics of this song on the website guestbook and it has been a favorite of mine ever since. i can finally now listen to it and think of our special little man without my eyes welling up with tears. i'm so happy to have this song to help me remember the special time even though very short that i got to spend with andrew. This song reminds me of the love that we shared, and that will always remain in my heart. There's always something special about a mother and her love for her children. So when my husband would lie on the couch and I playing with his long hair Iwould sing this song GODSPEED to him , well when my husband was in the hospital Dieing of cancer that same year, Ihold my husband and sing it to him while he was in a coma. later thatnite he was gone I,m sure he heard his song because he had a little tear comeing down his cheek before he passed away . he loved the song as well when Isangit to him now when Ihear it Ithink of my little man . He was just a baby born in sept and died before christmas. He was so sweet and we couldn't understand why he was taken so young.......listening to this song made me realize that just because we don't understand doesn't mean that God doesn't have a plan.
