The lyrics aren't specifically worded, so many interpretations can be valid. The guy is going insane over this girl, she either knows it, and doesn't care, or doesn't know, and doesn't realize what's going on. She comes by, giving him 'the moment' to savor, then when she leaves, the pain creeps back. (You come along, letting all of us savor the moment Leaving me broken another time) Eventually he can't take it, and asks to be alone, but she tries to comfort him, only making it worse. (Leave me alone, let me be this time You carry on like a holy man pushing redemption I don't want to mention, the reason I know) And he can't seem to get it out, that he has been stricken and can't get her out of his head, even though her heart returns no warmth, and he's unable to do anything about it, and he runs deeper into the abyss of insanity. I mean if you can do it on a real guitar (which I have read that you play), such retards will fall into a pit of despair over the fact that they don't have the skillz to play a real guitar. Just to show a positive outlook. As for Stricken, it's a very well executed song. I fell in love with Disturbed's music after I heard their remix of Shout by Tears for Fears, and ever since, I have always ranked Disturbed as one of my favorite New Wave Metal groups. The bass and guitar work in symbiotic relationship, and the cymbal/bass drum works as a very good rythym line, and it contains one of the most glorious vocal/guitar riff in the history of rock chorus lines. That's my two cents. oh yea | Reviewer: will | 10/23/08 lol chris your stupid, ok the guy that said about guitar hero introducing people to different bands n stuff, hes so right, guitar hero doesnt ruin any songs, it just shows people other bands that they havent heard of, ive never heard of muse but now i listen to them all the time because of guiatr hero To Chris... | Reviewer: DISTURBED | 10/13/08 It doesn't ruin music at all. i was listening to disturbed when i was 6. then, when i heard of guitar hero, i bought number 3 and saw stricken. i played it, perfectly fine. guitar hero just kind of introduces people to music. if anything. i started liking metal a lot more after playingf guitar hero and listening to slipknot on the computer. by the way, heavy, HEAVY metal is not the kind of thing you want to get into, but once you do, it's pretty damn sweet.
