If you have their newest album, the lyrics are all in the booklet!
The second part to the first verse is:
"Ooohh Devon, one of eleven
who had been rendered unwhole as a little child
she was taken and then forsaken,...."

David also actually talks about alot of the meanings to their songs in their Making of Indestructible DVD which came with the CD I bought, and for this particular song he explains that "one of eleven" means that she was part of a large family,... I'm guessing his ex girlfriend who committed suicide,.. whom the song is actually about.

ive seen the messed up lyrics and im glad you changed them but that was like the mudvayne DIG misheard lyrics on youtube.com lol someone thought when the singer said dig the person who posted the vid heard dick LOL anyways... awesome song kinda gets me pumped. anyways i agree with disturbed = awesome indestructible is gonna be pretty hard to top

ok this site runs mad fucking slow but now that the lyrics are correct let me be the first to actually reveiw the song. its a pretty great song of course a really great expansion upon what they did on ten thousand fists. not to mention this is pretty dark stuff lyrically and if youve heard the album indestructable yet you know that the whole album is pretty dark. not to mention really heavy. it's early but i would have to say indestructable is the hard rock album to beat this year. staind, slipknot and mudvayne: you guys are on notice. good luck topping disturbed when your albums come out this year.

whoever did these lyrics must of been partially deaf... cuz theres heaps of stuff ups... i submitted the correct lyrics so hopefully they will put them up instead of these wrong ones... apart from that this song effin rules!!!! looking forward to there new album =)

I want to point out that the prechorus is wrong it's not

It's really
"Devon lies beyond this portal
take the word of one immortal"

What the fuck is this trying to say?!? Half of these lyrics are wrong! "Damnin, I'll go to heaven" should be "Devon, wont go to heaven" I'm not going to even TRY to correct all of these because it wouldn't be worth it.

It's not Damnin, it's Devyn..
This son's about a girl named Devyn (not sure if i spelled it right), who David Drymon fell in love with as a kid/teenager whatever. Anyway, she killed herself, and now the Devil's trying to get David to kill himself so he can be with her in hell.

Damnin's not even a word!

I know the correct lyrics, I posted the correct lyrics and THE SITE made it like that. I even came back and edited them so it was correct (took quite a while, too), but it doesn't appear to have changed.

I came here to find the lyrics because I couldn't understand maybe two of the words.
There are whole lines here that are all wrong!!!

and I have to ask the person who wrote these;

Guess I will just have to wait until the band themself supplies the lyrics.

And "grife" is "GRIEF!!"

Wow...how can you make up so many lines?
Words were thrown in there that aren't there.

I was lisenting to it and trying to read the lyrics...if you hummed it they would fit...but that's the only way!

haha you're right. the song is amazing but this sadly failed attempt to write the lyrics just by how they sound just slaughtered it, but at least its not as bad as the mis-heard "Numa Numa" lyrics. lmao

These lyrics suck. What is a "messiar"? I'm pretty sure it's "desire", not "messiar". I'm wondering if this publisher was high when he/she wrote these lyrics. I'd advise sing365 to take them off, they're not the right lyrics. To the person who wrote these: Grow some ears, if you're not entirely sure what the lyrics are, don't publish them.

This has to be the worst attempt at the lyrics to this song.
