Seriously? | Reviewer: Anonymous | 8/20/12
I'm wondering... people here connect this song to satan or religious indoctrination... and noone ever latched onto the words "NEVER AGAIN"?!?
Seriously, Draiman, a jew, sings 'never again' and that noone will take him alive? And still, nothing, no comments about that?
And for those who need another hint - I'm german, and I will remember*, and I say: Never Again.
PS * Well, ok, I'm too young to have been there (luckily), but still...
My Thoughts | Reviewer: Anonymous | 3/17/12
I think this song is about all the people that want you to change for them whether it be about how you act, dress or even what music you listen to and he's standing up saying he won't change for anyone for as long as he's alive. Relates a lot to me.

This is for sure my favorite song by disturbed. I love their sound, and the lyrics are so true to reality. This (in my opinion) is the best kind of music. Go metal!! Live forever!
My Favorite Disturbed Song | Reviewer: LD | 12/21/11
This is by far my favorite Disturbed song simply because I can relate to it the most. It's vague enough that it applies to any situation where somebody tries to make you conform to their way of thinking. Religion, politics, parenting, this song works for them all, so pick one that applies to you and you'll truly feel the lyrics.

Seriously. Are you kidding? Are all you Barbie and ken wannabe's going to say in all seriousness that this song is about SATANISM? Youve all been brainwashed by the conformist 'reality' that the judaio/christian church has created. I was brainwashed by my conformist mother to love the "one and only God." i went to church every night because that is what i was told to do. When i was living with her, i had a limited musical vocabulary because of her beleif that anything that wasnt christian rock was fueled by Satan. One long summer i was browsing youtube while she was at work, and i saw a video on the related videos list or the video i was watching called "Master of Puppets." this caught my eye and i clicked on the thumbnail. I was forever changed and soon my mp3 player (i bought that shit myself before there were ipods you conformist fuckers) was filled with every kind of hard rock and metal you can think of. Metallica, pantera, smashing pumpkins, etc, were all i listened to at the time. Untill my mom got ahold of the mp3 player, burned it, then smashed it, and "punished" me by sending me to live with my homosexual father. That was probably the woorst thing she could have done, because he fueled my outreach into other social and mental statuses untill i had gone through about 5 religious in high school. (a message to all Athiests, there is something deeper in te anti-religion genre called Nihilism. Look it up you posers). I now have over 2900 songs on my SELF-modified ipod touch in either the netal or grunge genres. Untill all you conformist assholes break free from your mental imprisonment, no one should give your reviews on ANYTHING any actual thought. I am an Odinist and this song could mean alot of things in Odinism too, but it doesnt.
Fuck you all,

Do you guys have any knowledge of the FALLEN ANGEL? I guess you don't. I also think, if at all you are religious, you have poor knowledge of religion: this is irrespective of the faith you hold in as much as it remains established.
The song tries to explain, directly or not, what is known to have transpired between GOD and The SATAN.
There is SATANIC religion in the world and there are followers, just as the SATAN himself promised.
I could remember a group that does not believe in the existence of God, which propagates that 'FEEL FREE AND ENJOY YOURSELF; PROBABLY THERE IS NO GOD'. This means if you are religious, then you are JADED.
They kill inspiration
It's my obligation
To never again, allow this yo happen
Denying the sin
My art, my redemption
DENYING THE SIN; means there is no sin at all in what ever you do as against the sayings of the established religions.
(IT'S HIS ART AND REDEMPTION) Art here means; the use of the imagination to express ideas or feelings.
And Redemption on the other hand, means; to make something seem less bad, or doing something to improve the opinion that people have of you.
Thanks and Think Twice.
You'll never take me alive | Reviewer: Anonymous | 2/3/11
This song is pretty easy to understand the meaning of.
Its about the people that push you to do things, and make you do things you think are wrong. And to steer clear of people that.
He talks about them taking your life in a way, that they will rule your life if you let them. The thing he "treasures in life" is his attutude.
I could take for hours about meanings to this song because it has so many meanings.

You all needa chillax on abusive parantes and submitting to Christianity. THis is why the media tells us that our style of music is terrible and horrible to listen too. We all have parents that want us to gorw up like them, so they try to control. Doesn't mean to sever the ties. Family is all you are gonna have once this is all said and done. Some of you act like your life is so terrible. This song is meant to say hey be yourself and don't let others push you around. No politcs, no submitting to propoganda or even any religion. Its got a simple meaning to it. Don't misconstrue it to fit what you believe in. To the anonymous kid who doesn't like Christianity...just tell your friend to back off. I'm a Christian, but i'm not brianwashed. Its a religion meant to inspire hope when you are alone not meant to make you holier than shit. Just listen to the song and enjoy music as it is.
lol, you guys are dumb | Reviewer: Anonymous | 11/1/10
all of disturbed's songs have a story to tell and if you honestly think they don't, then your one hell of an ignorant fuck. also, non of there songs are about politics, or religion 85%-95% of all there songs are about the shit David Draiman has gone through in his life, and thats what makes him "disturbed".

This is my favourite song from what is, in my oppinion the best band ever. I dont consider the song religious but i do think it is saying to not just jump on the bandwagon and be a mindless zombie that follows others. I take it as bashing "popular" items like people who would follow a rock if it where to get up and start giving speeches. I also think it is about art censorship, but i dont know much on art so i cant really say much on that.
My opinion | Reviewer: 12346789 | 9/12/10
Look, a song is a song. It's a bunch of words that rhyme and sound good, it doesn't have any inner meaning like religion or politics. Unless you ask the song writer yourself, then you can make assumptions and say it's true. No one really gives a f**k if you are a democrat or republican or a Jew, Christian, or atheist. Live your life and if you like to listen to music then don't waste your time trying to find some BS inner meaning to it
Wow | Reviewer: JadeMare | 8/20/10
I don't know what some of you people are on, but there's nothing religious about this song.
The song is, plain and simple, a big, fat "FUCK YOU" to anyone who tries to change people, tries to fit others into their little box, make them think and act a certain way, all that fantastic stuff. There ARE some very overzealous religious groups out there, and in some way, this might be interpreted as a jab at them, too. But for the most part, the message is "I'm not changing for someone else".
religion? don't see it. | Reviewer: Mr. T | 8/17/10
Should I point out that David Draiman(sp?) Is Jewish? And that this song has nothing to do with his choice or views about Christianity? Look at the rest of their songs-all politics. This has nothing to do with religion, but everything to do with how we are always told to change our political view for some reason or another, a message to stand strong in our views and not give in to the propoganda.
ALIVE!!!! | Reviewer: Neutrality | 7/19/10
Read the lyrics from a neutral position.
ALIVE. He is not just a body that can be manipulated by others and told what to think and what to do like a lifeless robot. He is ALIVE to make his own decisions and live his OWN life. Not to only be and think as others tell him he should. This was my problem with religion. MAN will not tell me the will of GOD. Only GOD has that rite. And man shall not judge man, man does not have that rite. Be neutral when you read these lyrics and you will see the truth in them....
