People's thinking. | Reviewer: Aniruddha | 8/7/13
Dimmu Borgir and many other bands like Slayer, these are not satanic bands, but the snag is with people who are hypocrites, I know few people from Greek Orthodox and other denominations, they all say that rock music is entirely evil, they are such dolts, it irritates me so much that I feel like throwing them against the wall, people from Greek Orthodox will tell you that entire US is evil, so please don't pay attention to anyone who thinks that bands like Dimmu Borgir are evil, they use all use dark themes, because of the imagery and it goes impeccably.
Wicked! | Reviewer: Anonymous | 2/10/13
We all know that everyone reading this loves Dimmu, but I think we all should cool it with the satanic stuff. Christians digging shagrath is not blasphemy, the bible never makes an exception to loving your neighbor, wether they are satanic or not. Christians need to stop trying to justify their taste in metal and just kick back in common interest and admire this wicked awesome symphony!
not satanic | Reviewer: Anonymous | 11/21/12
Dimmu Borgir is not a Satanic band, yes they distained organized religion, but that doesnt make them Satanic. Also I'm sure that they enjoy dark themes. I am a Christian and yes I disdain organized religion and I like dark themes, it doesn't make you Evil.
About the Song | Reviewer: Anonymous | 11/9/12
I would tell everyone to stop talking about religion, but no one would listen. I'm just going to say that I think the orchestra makes this song amazing, and when classical music and metal are mixed it produces great results. However, I think it is kind of funny that there are a bunch of old guys in suits playing with younger guys in corpse paint.
black metal bullshit | Reviewer: darkseed | 8/22/12
im a christian and proud of it but i like dimmu borgir solely for the orchestra they use and the instrumentals also shagraths vocals are unique but i dont believe in all this devil worship or violent themes cos its just music if music influences you then you my friend are an idiot and probably deserve to be punished i love this song cos i can sometimes relate to it im no hypocrite i sometimes do have a hatred for mankind especially if you see what they are doing to each other and to the world and animals it's sick so that being said music is just an imitation of society and what is happening around us it''s time to open our minds and our hearts
Everybody is Right. | Reviewer: India | 6/29/12
The band is Satanic. Their music proves that and the musicians are open about their preference. If you like it then listen to it and thats tha. With all due respect if youre a so called Christian then listening to it is blasphemy because you know the meaning. Not only that but its a biblical contradiction. Now lets be happy.

God loves | Reviewer: Anonymous | 7/14/11
a verse in Ephesians says "Immense in mercy and with an incredible love, he embraced us. He took our sin-dead lives and made us alive in Christ. He did all this on his own, with no help from us! Then he picked us up and set us down in highest heaven in company with Jesus, our Messiah." I love all of you, don't be hating
shut the fuck up | Reviewer: Anonymous | 5/11/11

God Damn!!!! | Reviewer: BlckMtl | 3/31/11
The song reflects the constant battled carried out by our kind. Us as humans are bound to fight, its in our blood. But that does not justify the arguing we all do. Read the damn lyrics and learn. This band is a lot closer to heart than you dumb assess portray. Give up this constant war. Its pointless!! Especially over a song. Enjoy the fucking epic drums, atmospheric keyboards, shredding guitars, and Shagrath's killer shrieks and growls. And if you idiots can't gut that down, stop listening to true music and resort to Bieber because you are all being pansy assess continuing this unneeded war on music. Promote metal and its meaning. We need to eradicate the shameful music that this world offers. Metal is a dying breed. Wage war against the faggots who think Stone Sour is the heaviest song. Fight for Black Metal, Death Metal, Deathcore and the rest of our bretheren. When metal rises, we have the power. Coldplay will not beat Metallica again. Progenies of The Great Apocalypse is one of the many anthems to our cause. Fight for Dimmu Borgir, Cradle of Filth, Tvangeste, Abigail Williams, Theatres Des Vampires, and every other band that has true musical influence. Long live Metal!!!!
QUIT ARGUING! | Reviewer: matt | 3/28/11
Dimmu Borgir is an EXCELLENT band and this is an amazing song!!!!!!! Dimmu Borgir means dark cities in iceland in old north. weather they are legit satanists or only reflecting the customs of haloween upon my favorite black metal band, I do not have a preference nor care. Progenies of The Great Apocalypse from Death Cult Armegeddon 2003 is a masterpeice and the message or moral of the track is invalid because it's so well done that it doesn't matter. The only thing that matters on this thread is your opinion on Dimmu Borgir and this track/album or anything relevant to THE MUSIC. The moral/message/story/meaning of the track does not matter, and I strongly suggest everyone to STOP because it is turning into a battle raging on and on that has no ceased end. Arguing about religion is the equivalent to arguing about musical opinion or politics, just dont argue.
maybe.... | Reviewer: MetalDent | 1/26/11
With them being from Norway, maybe they do have a god, a Norse god, and they are pissed about the way another "religion" came in hundreds of years ago and tried to force people to convert or die.......... Christianity.
