------ performed by Depeche Mode
Yet another one... | Reviewer: Anonymous | 9/20/2005I must agree with some folks out there, that exciter wasn't their best work. Yet, it had it's good, and bad...I mean, Dream On was an AWESOME track.
Precious...well, it's addictive...has the right mix of elegance, electronic, lyrics, and other qualities that DM has been known to bring to it's fans! And hopefully this new album will be another step in the right direction! Again, waiting for the new album...and I will DEFINATELY go to the concert! The one in MSG a few years ago, I went to twice...and both times, it was a BLAST!
You can count on DM | Reviewer: Marney | 9/19/2005
When I listen to Precious it brings me back to the Violator tour and the emotional and spiritual awakening that happened to me during that show. It was such a distinct feeling, one that I haven't felt in years. While I have loved every album since Violator with the exception of Exciter (I only liked that album), It seems like Playing the Angel is going to be mind blowing. Simply put, this band is genius. The subject matter of their songs seems to grow in the same direction as my life and they make every fan feel as if they are singing to them as an individual. Genius.
A musical revival for DM | Reviewer: vino | 9/10/2005
Precious is by far the best DM comback that I have heard. being a life long fan, i am making sure to buy tickets to the concert. we can only hope they continue to work together to make music for our souls. its a new life a new vision but back to basics with a new feel for DM. All fans of music will enjoy.

Fresh Material? | Reviewer: Anonymous | 8/31/2005
Having joined the Depeche Mode collective upon buying the remixes album and having since gone thru the back catalogue and read the biography, i was so excited (as a relative newcomer) to hear that the mode were releasing a new song. In the disappointment that was 'dream on' i was hoping for something with a bit more musicality to it. And my god, what have they done to us. This track is amazing. By far one of their best since walking in my shoes. I can't stop listening to this infectious, distinctively depeche mode track. Cant wait for the album. but october is so far away. grrrr. This is depeche mode returning on form!
Unbelievable! | Reviewer: Steve | 8/28/2005
Definitely has a Violater feel. Could be one of their best ever...can't wait for the album
Basildon Boys conquer the world again. | Reviewer: Jonathan | 8/18/2005
When the the news of a new Depeche Mode album hit my ears/eyes I was in fact a bit scared. I kept thinking if this was gonna be Exciter pt. 2, and to be honest I really don't like Exciter that much.
- To make it even worse I saw the album cover a week ago, or so. And that cover is really ugly.
Today I've heard the first single called Precious (as you probably know), and that really made me happy. Man is that song just fantastic? - Yes it is. It has a very Enjoy the Silence like vibe to it, and Daves vocals reminds me of Sister of Night. I'm glad the boys (at least on this track) is moving away from the Exciter and trying out new musical expressions and at the same time sticking to what we know.
- Am I looking forward to the 18th of october? - SURE AS HELL!

This is without doubt the most kick ass track since Enjoy the silence.
Roll on the album.
Just Can't Be Stopped!!!! | Reviewer: Steve Ivory | 8/6/2005
You can try to deny this bands talent, but once again they come back right in your face with this powerful, yet dark track. But what's new? It has been done over and over again, so one must come to the realization that Depeche Mode is and will always be in that rare but unique group of bands that can somehow continue to carry on, even if all faith is lost.... Can't wait to hear the rest of the album!!!!!!!
