Nine, ten months ago, I first heard this song, and only heard it.
A week or so ago, I stopped and didn't hear it, I actually listened to it.
I fell apart. It's so true.
Now I'm beginning to see his face wherever I go, and I'm still talking to strangers, asking them what the last beautiful thing was that they saw. No, the pain will never leave, until he returns.
They say that home isn't necessarily a place, it can be a person. Well. He's my home. And I will still reach for shadows, just in case he's standing there within them.
