ppl plz | Reviewer: Devin | 7/6/09
Look ppl as christians we dont need do be calling ppl satans because we were once that ourselves and we dont need to call them idiots because we were all once lost another thing is we dont need to diss on ppl for their believes because you dont like it yourself. In my opinion the authors main point to the lyrics is what they want and all though it is great to use that and interpret it as so, it is also at the digretion of the listener to give it point to their lives and have it mean something to them. Yes iam a christian and yes i believe demon hunter is a christian group but i know im not perfect and try my hardest not to be a hypocrite, i know i judge sometimes but that isnt what God wants. As Christians we need to be the one to keep the peace and the last guy was right interpret the song as you like and enjoy the music, just be glad they have clean hardcore music and your not left out
Just enjoy it | Reviewer: Jay | 4/27/09
Never beleived in god and never will. Saying people who dont beleive are idiots and going to hell or have satan in them need to realise that atheists dont think any of thats real so its pointless saying it like you're your own freaking messiah.
Personnaly any song is what you make it and this is beautifull. Cant people even set aside beliefs to enjoy a good song? I mean wth....
very good. | Reviewer: hawk | 3/23/09
to me, this song is about sins and/or regrets. having dealt with an extreme amount of both, this song has a special meaning to me. the way i see it, it's about somebody who is weighed down with sin and/or regret and has been dealing with this for a long time, but he can't seem to get rid of it. this stuff is keeping him from Christ and also the other people in his life - friends, family, etc. he had a chance to give it all to God, but maybe he wasn't aware of that chance, or he just couldn't fully give it away.
any way you interpret it, it's still a good song.
Of course it is christian music | Reviewer: Anonymous | 1/22/09
Of course Demon Hunter makes christian music...
Not all christian music is that basic gospel. And besides how else could you understand the last words of the song other than wanting to go back to God? (which is normal for a christian if you ask me)
I'd say this is just as christian as it can get with this kind of music (considering it's a metalcore band) You don't always have to honour God by singing about his greatness, as a different approach this is just as christian as the others.

Go to demon hunters website and look at the FAQs. The first one tells you that they are a Christian group. If you get the blessed resistance membership, you can read all of their meanings to the songs. This song, along with most of their other songs, are indeed Christian and the lyrics reflect their beliefs. and NO, we are not left to our own. God gave us a free way out of this hell hole known as earth. Romans 10:9. All you have to do is ask and believe. He will do the rest.
WTF? | Reviewer: EarthHealer | 11/18/08

Shut up | Reviewer: MASSAQUERADE | 11/11/08
How about you all shut up about this whole "Christianity/God" crap, and just listen to the song. Stop trying to interperet it for everyone, and just leave religion out of it. You'll find it much more pleasant.
No. I don't believe in God. But I'm not going to go so far as to try and disprove His existance. Grow up, agree to disagree, and stop trying to argue opinions. It's pointless.
Regardless. Amazing song.
Idiots | Reviewer: Andrew | 9/1/08
I can't believe how many of you actually think that God isn't real. He is simply and awesomly real. I am living proof, and I frequently listen to this song. I am also what you could call a Revelationist, that is that I am waiting to be with God during that final battle. I want to rid this earth of the evil Satan put in it. And, anyone that is against this band are all part of Satan. God will save us. He will smite down Satan from your hearts and this earth. He is the end.
To "lost soul" | Reviewer: Ben | 8/28/08
God will show up. You'll see. I think one of the things you have to do first is give up your idea of who God is and open up to knowing who God actually is. You limit God's work in your life if you doubt God's existence, too. Believe me, God is interested in your life and human suffering has God's attention. By the way, you don't have to be religious to believe or accept God.
I'm Sorry | Reviewer: Lost Soul | 8/10/08
I'm sorry all religious people. I wish i could believe in God, i wish he would save me from my pain or from my sins. But he dosen't, i don't think he will, if he exist, save anyone of us... We're left to our own devices unfortunatly... (my opinion)
Good Song | Reviewer: Bud bar | 3/29/08
I first heard this song today in YouTube

It's a sad video about Pit Bull Dogfighting. Check it out.
As far is this song being a Christian song, I don't think it is. Although, I was once a Christian and now I am a lost soul. I can relate to this song very much. Without Christ in my life, that last verse is what is on my mind so very often. Awsome song!
questioned? | Reviewer: Matt | 2/14/08
This is without a doubt one of my all time favourite songs by Demon Hunter. Why all the slander about God and Christians? What's to be angry about? My interpretation of this song is simple. God is eternal and He is the beginning and the end. Without Jesus' love, we have no love at all. We will never understand what love is to us if it doesnt come from Him. We can love others, but it is only minimal compared to His love for us. If our love is all we have, but not from Him and for Him, it is meaningless and falls on deaf ears and dead hearts. In other words, "who cares about your love?"
He died on the cross with the words "...It is finished". meaning your lack of knowledge of His father is dead, the old covernant is dead and your old lives are dead. all is forgiven and forgotten forever. believe this, and this is what His love is for us...for than we can handle.
While everything passes away, He is Eternal and always remains. always.
as non-believers you WILL find this hard to understand. I know, trust me...I WAS ONCE AS YOU ARE. read the lyrics of Science of Lies and you will see
Deeper | Reviewer: BJ | 1/28/08
That last stanza has nothing to do with suicide.
If you don't understand it, one has to wonder what else you must have missed... either way... it is pointing out that our lives are empty without love e.g. Christ. And with Christ, you always have more love to give :)
DH fans... Just ignore people on the internet who claim - on the internet - that this omniscient 'science' entity has proved God doesn't exist... they are brave in their anonymity on teh intarweb.
Instead pray that they realize what Science of Lies is about.
Demon Hunter is awesome | Reviewer: Anonymous | 1/3/08
"I have to say, that the power of Christian music is so much stronger than most other music"
I agree with you about Christian songs being more powerful than other songs. I'm not religious in any way. I believe in science only because it has proven itself time and time again. but i do not despise any religious person...unless they try to push their religion on me. DEMON HUNTER ROCKS!!!!
band | Reviewer: sean fisher | 1/2/08
if you guys would stop arguing and realize that the band is actually a Christian band it would all be spelled out for you, i have bought there cd's, in a Christian book store, they have all been saved and they reflect God's work in them through their music. They are a Christian band along with, the showdown, red, seventh day slumber, underoath, the almost, etc.
