As everyone agrees, the vocals are outstanding! The whole album though, (White Pony) is really one story. Listen from start to finish. You'll see. This particular song is near the end, and he has picked up a hitcher. The sexual overtones are heavy, so it's a good bet that was part of the motivation. I think he kills his "passenger" Thus "Change in the House of Flies" the next song. The whole album is describing various murders, maybe only in his head, but doesn't sound like it. Check it out. When I heard this song, I was reminded why I love Maynard and the music composition along with Chino's husky vocal style and Maynard's melodic voice made this another Platinum (f'k gold) work of art for Maynard to put in his portfolio and another point in the favor of Deftones (reedeming them for that....unique cover of Sade's No ordinary love.
