made me cry | Reviewer: Anonymous | 4/5/09
I just buried my fiance this past Christmas. A friend of mine has this song on her myspace profile, and the first time I heard it I sat there and cried. It's simple and says exactly what I wanted to say. What a beautiful song.

i am somewhat of a musician (drummer) and will be doing a song off the drums in two weeks and guess what " I will Follow You..." is it !! :) The song is by far the most touching and emotional piece of music I've come across in a long time.<3 A true work ao musiaal art in the most simplistis form.Kudos to the band, their talents vastly underrated. ...oh yea and while I think of it...Mike ...GET A LIFE BUD !!! ...Milton Epps...Montreal, Canada
it's like they wrote it for us | Reviewer: Sherri's soulmate | 2/24/09
my wife (best friend) Sherri passed away 1 1/2 years ago and I have to admit that when she passed, this or just about anything similar would have been something that kinda gave me the final push...but ultimately it was her strength that kept me hanging on...now, this song has the opposite effect in that it gives me reason to "press on" (to qoute her) and keeps it in the forefront of my mind that she knows that some day when my work here (being here for our kids and grandkids) is done , that I will be along to follow her into the dark... I dont think that most people (even ones that think they do) really have the kinda connection that she and I shared, you know, the kind where you really do put the other first, the kind where you really do mean it when you say that you want thier happiness above everything else even if it means having to let them go and be without them. I would give anything for her to still be around even if it meant that she never knew I existed, she had that kind of a beautiful soul. I think maybe her services where needed somewhere else in the universe and that I feel truly lucky to have been able to be a part of her mortal life... I know she waits for me...thank you babe for your love and I will be along shortly....
honored to claim the title,
Sherri's Soulmate
The Invisible | Reviewer: Jaci | 2/2/09
I had this song on my iPod for AGES and never listened to it cuz Shuffle never showed it up. But when I went to America, my sister got sick so we were locked up in a hotel room for two days. During that time, I watched one of the most beautiful movies ever created, called The Invisible. As I watched it, I recognised a song during it. The song made me cry, not only from the moment it was played at (and may I add, it was a sad sad moment) but because it was generally beautiful. Then, that night as I was listening to my iPod, it popped up. And from then on, I became obsessed with the song. It is amazing. It displays the perfect amount of love and devotion that one can feel.
Oh, and Mike? Go read a dictionary, possibly read some of the greatest love poems/songs of all time, and come back and tell us this song will 'encourage people to die' and all that word vomit that came out of you is true. Thankyou, and good day to you all.

Really Good Song. | Reviewer: Bryan | 1/31/09
Really nice song. Really subtle but strong. Something about Death Cab songs seems to strike an experience or point of view in many people's eyes. As far as Mike, I don't know any of you bother even being pissed off about his comments. I went and read his post thinking there was something tangible to pick apart, there isn't. He just came off as a little kid who is still learning how to put words together in order to make an insult. I wouldnt even be bothered by it. We were all young, and discriminated certain things due to our lack of experience in life. Even at my age now, I can easily say that up until the day I die, I will never stop learning through experience. And still have a lot to learn.
People Crack me up! | Reviewer: Hi ya'll | 1/30/09
I must say this song is super amazing. It really is powerful && did any one else realze that Mike doesn't even know how to spell?!? He is obviously taking things way too serious and has no appriciation for good lyrics + music. :]
Wow | Reviewer: Anonymous | 1/14/09
I just heard a rendition of this song that I loved done by one of my classmates, so I decided to look up the lyrics. Then I scrolled through some reviews, and kept seeing this "Mike" pop up. Obviously I was curious, so I went through the pages and found him: the first reviewer. Ohhhhh man. I've never really been a big fan of Death Cab for Cutie, but holy cow...that Mike dude's on crack. None of his arguments are in any way tenable, and half the time I could hardly understand what he was even trying to say (mostly due to the fact that he can't type either). Sure the song sounds rather dramatic to me, but relationships are different for everyone.
Anyway. It's unfortunate that some people just can not keep an open mind.
One of the best songs on the face of the planet!!!!! ASDF ZOMFG NOT EVEN KIDDING! | Reviewer: Saba-chan | 1/6/09
Although I may not be that old and am still in school, I can relate to this song with my current boyfriend. I'm not sure he understands how much I love him, but I hope that he will soon. Every time I hear this song, I want to cry. It's a great song and I love it. DCFC has some of the greatest songs ever, and that's saying something for me cause I usually go for heavy metal. I love this song and agree with everyone's comments. This song is AMAZING. nothing else to describe it.
While trying to pass the time, I read through the other comments. I will not waist too much time on this. Mike, you are a dumb wanker. Anata Baka Na. I hop you fall in a pit and die for saying such rude things about DCFC. You are not cute in any way shape or form. You WANKER!!!
Mmm, the movie and the song are both just amazing | Reviewer: Nataley | 11/6/08
This song was used in the movie "The Invisible"
I loved this song the first time i listened to it, yet i had no idea it was by DCFC until now....strange, huh?
"I Will Follow You into the Dark" is such a beautiful piece of work, being able to impact so many people is not a very easy task, and is in fact quite daunting when faced with such an oppurtunity, but DCFC definately pulled it off!
And after having my Love dedicate an equally wonderful song, i have decided to do the same for him with this song. It is that inspiring to me.
Mike you wanker | Reviewer: Anonymous | 11/5/08
Mike, shut the fuck up. You clearly have no idea why people write songs like this. I write lyrics a bit like this, so i should know. Songs like this one are written so that people can vent some of their emotions in the way they choose. Dumb wankers like you obviously don't have a way of getting rid of emotions, so you talk out of your ass about an amazing song. In future, don't listen to music like this if you think it's such a waste of time.
If you think you're so cute, why are you wasting your time writing shit about something you thought was stupid.
hahaha niice | Reviewer: lauren | 10/4/08
i looked through all these comments and i actually find mike and everyone elses comments funny :]
i was laughing my ass off while reading them :]
