The Reviews about Seek Up (page 1/1)
------ performed by Dave Matthews Band and Dave Matthews
August 20, 2008 Staples Center, Los Angeles | Reviewer: J Kevin | 9/1/2008
On the night after the passing of Leroi Moore, the crowd started chanting "LeRoi, LeRoi" and then the band opened up with Seek Up. By far one of the more deeper songs in there discography but a 17 minute run of Seek Up started the night right and feeling the emotions coming from not only the band but the fans was dynamic. Peace to you all

Without question this song is his best in every disk... through your life there will only be a couple of songs that resonate in you down to your soul, for me this is definately one of those....
Brilliant song ... | Reviewer: Nathanial | 12/6/2007
The previous reviewer hit the nail directly on the head - even down to the most sublime version readily available: Live at Luther College, Disc 2, Track 5. Not only am I grateful for this song but also for the common thread that runs through and between the souls who resonate deeply with this song. It's these circumstances that help to soothe my soul when the reality of these times is just a little too much to bear ... peace.
MY SOUL LIVES IN THIS SONG | Reviewer: betty | 11/1/2007
It is very easy, yet very difficult for me to put into words how this song has been a prayer for me recently. SEEK UP has helped me through some real-life situations which I have little or no control over, yet are affecting me deeply. Further, I have been able to share this song with friends of mine who speak of similar feelings and situations to which the song refers. If you listen to this song, I have found my DEAREST version is on the Dave Matthews/Tim Reynolds LIVE (I think it's from the Warehouse edition; it's song number 5). The beauty of this whole concert is that Dave's voice is MUSIC in itself, and the simpler, yet profound artisty of Dave and Tim in the instrumentation, i.e. mostly guitars, is MUSIC. There is a combination of sublime elements of music and emotion and love with this version of SEEK UP and within this concert version. LISTEN TO IT. IT WILL MOVE YOU.
