He is a very complicated man, but just when I heard this song, I finaly understood him, and his feelings. I have been so confused, but hearing this song just made it all clear. I cannot be with this man, but that doesnt matter, because I know now how he feels about me, and thats all I need to alove myself to move on. This perhaps doesnt make much sense.. But anyways -thank you Damien for this song, it will always be with me.. Her mother knew nothing of our love and we played it off as if we were friends, but when my girlfriend admitted to her mother we were together, her mother forbid us to ever see or speak again. For 2 months we only spoke in real life when we passed at school, on the street or secretly met where we knew it would be safe to be together. For her birthday I bought tickets for her and a friend to go see Damien at a local small town showing in Burlington Vermont. I knew she loved his music and I'd rather her go with a friend to listen then not go at all. Her mother broke down and allowed her to go with me instead of with a friend, about 5 hours before the concert. From that night on, we have been in love and together more than 4 years. Sadly now, her mother is no longer here, but Damien will always be a part of us and so much now, its almost unbarable to listen. Thank you Damien, for singing what we all feel to be love in some way.
