It actually blew my heart away, when I first heard the song.. Its sad for all we know.. but try to dig dipper... There will be a stored message on the song.. its all above love..

The song is about the period after a relationship has come to an end. He can't forget her. He can't forget the times they had together ("We'll both forget the breeze...most of the time") nor can he believe that he was cruel ("Did I say I loathe you?") but like all break-ups, while he will never forget her, life goes on and he will meet someone new. It's a fantastic beautiful song.

I think the song is absolutely beautiful... Always reminds me of someone who has long forgotten me...

To me, the meaning of this song, is not about obsession. i think...it's more sad. he loves her, he wants to be with her, but he can't have her. he thinks she's radiating with beauty. he wants to forget about her, but he can't. i don't think that's obsession. it's just the way love goes.

the song in my opinion is gorgeous. the background music fits it so well.

It IS above compulsive love. Although not all compulsive love requires STALKING! I find myself portrayed in this song. My love for a married person is seen in this song. Forever will.

the firsth time i heard this song was in the closer movie too and also i was with my ex boyfriend, its very pretty this song, there's a portuguese version called É isso ai of anna carolna and jorge.

I completely disagree. This isn't a song about someone with obsessive love. At all. It's about reflection of his love for her and his sadness about it. He's not stalking her!

The first time i heard this song, i was watching the movie Closer with my ex-boyfriend. later that night we broke up. It was a dumb decision on both are parts and this song just reminds me of our situation. We're still good friends since we broke up a year ago, but we just reminisce about when we were together and how we still care about eachother..
This beautiful song makes me cry just from the memory of that day and the lyrics, which seem to be about my life, are so poetic and effective

I can't listen to the song without nosediving into some kind of sad mood. The brass section of the music and the poetic lyric really carry me off. It is definitely not the song you'd like to hear before going to work. :-) It's a great song, though. And when listened to while being together with my girlfriend... it really propel us both into romance. :-)

I agree that this is a song about obsessive love rather than genuine love, much like Sting's Every Breath You Take. Who would want that playing at their wedding? Anyway, nevertheless, it has its appeal and I just added it to my Itunes collection so I can listen to it 24/7.

A really nice song that perfectly fits to the movie. I've just seen it and it forced me to find out more about the song.
