------ performed by Damien Rice
wow.... | Reviewer: Bahar | 8/24/2005wow...what can i say?its the picaso of songs...the emotion is raw...it cuts in ur soul and stays there, but it's sweet;bittersweet.and it makes me cry.and its powerful.there's just so much hidden behind it that cant be explained.all in all it's genius!
The lady in the song | Reviewer: I.Hanekom | 8/22/2005
The girl singing those 3 lines in the song (which is beautiful) is Lisa Hannigan.
"I can't take my eyes off you..." | Reviewer: Temptation's Girl | 8/20/2005
This song is like an essential breakup song. It's excellent creation, is probably only comparable to Joni Mitchell's essential love song, "Case of You" --- one of my favorite love songs of all time (and probably the best one ever, too). The way it turns from desperate to even more desperate, just when you thought it was over, draws you in.
It can make you cry tears you never thought you'd cry when you listen to it, and the violin's intensity, the woman's voice as she sings her own thoughts in the song --- is like an oasis in the middle of a barren desert. There's nothing like its beauty and intensity. Clearly, and easily, one of the best songs I've ever heard.
Amazing | Reviewer: Bennas | 8/5/2005
This song truly is amazing. It touched me on so many levels. All of us have had our hearts broken or came to the relization that it was time to move on in an relationship... even though you were not ready to let go. The absolute power of the lyrics combined with the emotional singing of Damien makes it truly a one in a million type of song - similar as Sinead O'Connor's 1989 song Nothing Compares 2 U...

This is one of the best songs ever! Everytime I hear it I can't help but well cry. It's so uh I can't even find the right word for this song. It's a true masterpiece!Damien Rice finds the perfect words to use and it melts right through you.

Ye...after watching closer this was a must have...even though it is a serious downer...it is so pretty...
heartbreaking - beautiful song | Reviewer: elen | 7/8/2005
This song is one of the most touching songs i've ever heard. It breaks your heart listening to it and yet you wanna listen to it over and over again. And when you're not, you feel like you wanna wisper it again and again. I've kept listening to it just after i fell apart with the one i love and surely this is not a song that helps you get over a person and go on. This certainly is a song that makes you wanna stay in love or even fall more in love with them. The woman in the middle of the song surely makes it even more heartbreaking. I think the lyrics, the music and the sentiment in Rice's voice all express the longing and pain you feel, when you are in love and separated. Simply, but completely. I also find very amusing and optimistic the way it ends "..till i find somebody new"..
Amazing song! Once you listen to it, it haunts you..
Powerful | Reviewer: Serena | 6/30/2005
I usually do not enjoy listening to slow songs, but this one is an exception. Damien Rice is one of the very few singer/songwriters who can sing with such emotion and can write such simple, honest, and powerful lyrics. The Blower's Daughter is a song about falling in love and not being able to express those feelings truly. Damien Rice is constantly being compared to John Mayer, Aqualung, and even Jack Johnson. But Damien Rice has something special that none of these singers possess. Although he is not mainstream at all, he proved that he can come up with a song that we all can relate to, which is why The Blower's Daughter is a beautiful song.

I heard the song when I saw closer. The movie itself didn't stay with me but this song did. days later, I would find the melody running insistently through my head. It's haunting.
sad and sweet | Reviewer: Anonymous | 6/13/2005
This song makes me think of the person I love. I will probably never see him again.
