The Reviews about The Blower's Daughter (page 3/ 12)
------ performed by Damien Rice

An important song | Reviewer: Ben Schlafke | 7/3/08

Yep, Closer for me too. Mike Nichols is a genius for opening and closing the movie with this. I never heard such beautiful a beautiful chorus with such hateful lyrics. Did I say that I loathe you---perfect and exposed bone honest

Closer | Reviewer: Liling | 2/16/08

Yeah I got to know this song through the movie, Closer too. I fell in love with the song the very minute it was played, when it featured Jane Jones on it. oh screw. I NEED THIS SONG. SOMEONE SEND IT TO ME! :) thanks a million.

Something good from such a sad song. | Reviewer: Diana | 1/24/08

I started listening to this song in the past few months. With me it makes me remember how close I was to loosing everything. How close I was to not having the love of my life with me anymore. This song made me open my eyes and fight for him. Now my husband and I are back together and we have never been so happy. I think that when we start getting back to that place again we listen to this song and it brings us back to eachother again. I am so greatful that this song is out if the world.

Emotions | Reviewer: Big W | 1/3/08

I first heard this song around the time 'O' was being promoted and it stuck in my head without knowing who it was. About 6 months later there was much hype about Damien Rice and I asked my sister to get me the album for Christmas. I listened to the album and heard the song again and instantly fell in love.

11 months later my sister died. On the day that she died I was in the car and the first song that came on the radio when I started the engine was the Blower's Daughter - the first time I'd heard it on national radio. All my emotions hit me and I broke down in tears, but it was like a sign from my sister that everything was OK.

An emotional song for one reason just means so much to me for so many more.

a true song | Reviewer: zoey | 1/2/08

the first time i heard this song was in the movie closer. I loved it from the first line. its honest. we all can relate to the song, the blowers daughter, we have all had the experience of being drawn to another person in a way thats completely helpless. i think the song is a perfect feeling honest true feeling

Unrequited Love | Reviewer: Richard | 12/15/07

The song is about unrequited love. It's tragically beautiful. He loves her to death, but any feelings she may have had for him are long gone, as she loathes him, and now he has to move on and find someone new, but until then he won't ever stop thinking about her... Been there done that. I <3 this song.

Can't take my eyes of you | Reviewer: Anonymous | 12/13/07

First time i heard this song was in the movie "closer". I rushed home and downloaded it right away! It's so beautiful, cause its so sad!
I love crying to it when i'm not feeling too well.. Right now i listen to it to remind myself not to get too carried away when it comes to love and such. This song was one of the songs i listened to when me and my boyfriend broke up, and now, 2 years later, we're back together. So this song means alot to me!

Hard to let her go! | Reviewer: Knak | 12/11/07

I first heard it from CLOSER as well--so touching. Since then, I listen to it once before bed but I more than double the frequency after I'm now in love with someone who's already engaged to someone I already knew too, quite respectful. WE love each other so much but we both knew too that it's impossible to break the social norm (my country Cambodia was quite strict that the girl must follow her father's decision or at least not to make her father's face gone bad). My tear drops while sleeping with her and can't help thinking the day when I really have to let her go/she has to leave though none of us wish that to happen. I can't take my hands off you, Oan Kateb.
