A friend of mine mentioned that the song silent night is controversial in Ireland, probably due to the Irish trouble with Britain. It was suggested to me that Lisa's choice in modifying this song may have been political in nature, rather than a song about a relationship. I have been searching the internet for facts to support this, but since I can't find any, I can't claim it true.... It is something interesting to think about though, even if its not true. The new lyrics about a relationship in trouble are very moving and poignant when combined with the familiar melody. Its just a pity that this song is buried in a hidden track on the 'O' album!
