'Saffron's Curse' has seen the return of the brilliant and individual style of Cradle of Filth, as they were known in 2001, with their black metal masterpiece, 'Bitter Suites to Succubi'. Complicated keyboard riffs, mixed with crashing guitars, moving along with the, as ever, brilliant drumming. The sections flow between each other, making it seem natural and (as far as possible) easy to listen to. The vocals compliment each other pefectly, and the use of commentary is darkly effective. A masterpiece!
