They should have stuck with their formula all through viva la vida. I'd never listened keenly to the lyrics, and at a point where I've all but decided to break up with my long suffering but amazing girlfriend (I just can't connect with her emotionally; we're just different people) this song makes me happy and makes me sad about the decision, but I'm glad I paid attention to the lyrics this time.

Listening to this song...wow, the thing about music is it's soooo universal and to every person it can have a different meaning and they may put the song with a very special meaning or memory in their hearts. In my case, this song stirs very powerful emotions and distinct memories of times when feeling love and wanting it was so right and without trials, but soon I learned that reality...

A guy who was very important for me showed me this song...now i know what he wanted to tell me... He doesn't want to hurt me anymore...So i must make up my mind and get over it.. So hard!!! But hope it's true that "darkness always turns into light" I wish it wouldn't hurt me this much....

It's a Coldplay song: the lyrics are always poly-interpretable. I look at it as it happens with me personnaly: I won't give myself the benefit of doubt. I daren't express my feelings because I care too much for her. Coldplay reminds me that I'm wrong acting the way I do though..

I like this song it's one of my favourite.

I mean they are singing about all the things that can happen just wondering what if. What if i got it wrong or what if there was no light.

But his biggest fear is when somebody decide that they don't want you anymore it's something we all feel somehow somewhere in live.

especially in relationships. Because all the things that can happen to you you don't have an answer. But what if you should decide that you don't want me there by your side. Even the tought of it makes you sad. This is what i think of when a listen to this song.

Coldplay always makes you think about things. And that is just awsome. The music the rhyme it just catches you and do not let go. Each song from this band is more than whole other albums can offer.

The most touching part of this song is

It is just like words to dear person who is kind of lost and scared. And by being a good friend you do not wish to cause more trouble or make him/her feel worse. So you ask him/her too decide because you wish to help. Even if it means leaving him/her.
Sometimes you just cant be so close as you want...

It could be the greatest one I've ever heard.I love these guys,and I love words they make on this lyric.What if, this song could be a soundtrack of my life..I've been waiting for the next great works of this my favorite band on planet..

Wow!! This song really is something. The words are so well layed out and the depth of the words is just heartbreaking. I love it though. My favourite part in the is 'Every step that you take could be your biggest mistake. It could bend or it could break. But that's the risk that you take'. the song's lyrics and melody take in every emotion and feeling there is to feel and give it in one song...its just soo overwhelming...you know how true everything is and it scares you...but then you realize its ok...it'll get better...it has to...thats the essence of every Coldplay song...its your life in 5 minutes...

i can't discribe what kind of feeling give me this song..it hurts deeply,but it doesn't make me feel bad neither, not at all...it's a great song, makes me think...about things! ur the best coldplay
