The Reviews about The Scientist (page 3/ 12)
------ performed by Coldplay
Nobody said it would be so hard | Reviewer: Anonymous | 6/22/09
I don't know about all of you, but for me, I was listening again and again to the Scientist and the best idea I can get for the meaning of the lyrics really is that it's a situation where you love someone but you can't tell the person til it's way too late - either because of your own pride, or circumstance.
The situation is made worse where both parties feel much but say little. One of the parties then "goes away", whether by death or by other circumstance, and the song is where the one who remains is left figuring out the puzzles left behind, and wishing again he/she had said more.
That's just my take.
I had to find you Tell you I need you | Reviewer: Fox | 6/7/09
. . . I love so much this song. . . my lost love let me love Coldplay, I used to know them but I never appreciated them until he came. . . And now I always listen to their songs, but both the memories and the lyrics hurt me so much. . . But I can't stop listen to them, I feel that they are the only thing left that bound me to him. . . And this song, the music, the words. . . Perfect. . .
Oh tell me you love me
Come back and haunt me
Oh and I rush to the start
. . . I miss you. . . :(

i love the line "questio9ns of science. science and progress do not speak as loud as my heart". The song is summed up for me there, no matter how many times we try to question of find logical reasonings for love and its effect... we can't.
The way people act in love just proves that cupid was blind.

i was recently in a relationship by the means of this song. i broke it of with her because i needed time and space to sort things out with i fighting neighbour. i then wanted to get back together but she took it the wrong way! i want to go back to the start.
the meaning of this song | Reviewer: natalie semensow | 4/17/09
i believe this sone is about two people in love, they split ways, he screws her over and comes up to meet her. he never appreciated her and now wants to go back to the start, she doesnt know how lovely she is...he tries to pull the puzzle apart of the love and realizes that its not easy.nobody said it was easy, but he loves her and its worth it.no more "chasing tales" like he says..the song is about heartbreak and its about rebuilding.

I actually came on here to read the hardest part lyrics. About a month and a bit, my heart moved away. We have already been broken up for a few months but I went to see him on his last night...we ended up telling each other we still cared n he even wished we could go on our journeys together. I felt like finally we were getting our chance to make it... I told him he had my heart n he told me I'd always be his baby. It had been not even 3 weeks since he'd been gone n he told me in a casual manner he is seeing some chick. I told him exactly how he'd hurt me instead of covering up and pretending it was allllll goooood. I gave him my heart and he threw it back at me. I don't know why I want to go back to the start...maybe so I could stop myself before going ahead. Change directions or something. When u love someone and it goes to waste....could it be worse? I think that fix u has more appropriate tones for me at the moment, but I am trying to find my heart again...cos these days I feel a little dead inside. anyway thanks for listening. God bless all of u on your journey of love...we all deserve it and eventually we will all find one that makes our painful experiences pale into oblivion.
let's go back to the start | Reviewer: mich | 3/31/09
My English is not famous, but I understand what is said in this song and I think it's deep, everyone wants to return to the starting point of the things have begun to be born ... science can not explain and I think that's all that's the beauty of the mystery.

A rollercoaster love affair that lasted for more than 5 years and suddenly halted to a stop in an instant, without me know the real reason behind it, She married the guy she just met and left me bleeding on the side, sometimes life isn’t fair, but I believe that ones lost will be replaced by someone better, now I am happily married ..but fate try to test me again, after 8 long years I appeared on her dream, she did use the internet to find me, just to tell me that she was sorry ..while typing the message she cried and remember the things we used to do, memories keeps flashing back…I am the missing part of her life’s puzzle, the colors for the gray area on her life, and I feel the same way too....if only I could..." take me back to the start "....DBGB / Crestview Florida

I love all of their albums and own each one. I'm only 11 but I know the deepness behind all this stuff. I also ejoy Death Cab for Cutie, Radiohead, Lily Allen, The Beatles!!, and stuff like Kenna, Hot Chip and Panic at the Disco. This song is my second favorite out of this album :B. 1st is Clocks!

The love of my life found me again after 14 years. He is in warzone. 2 months of daily emails, phone call, dreams of seeing each other again. He had a girl friend back home. But the excitement of talking to each other again and where it took us was unexpected. Then one fine day, the email that killed me! The girl friend is pregnant and he asked her to marry him and she said yes! Needless to say, that was the end. For me! He wants to stay in touch, but I don't. Fate!
Such an unexpected twist, it makes me vomit! I would not tell him what I am going through. He still emails me refering to me as Sweety. Naa I won't be a true friend and walk him down the aile. I feel dead inside. This song is PERFECT! I love it! I've seen Coldplay here in london they were great!
