Powers | 10/30/2008 I am writing a book at Goddard College right now about ADHD and my phillosophy of what it is and how it feels and this song is the music that inspired and made me realize what ADHD really was inside and out of me and this song in the abstract way which my mind thinks is the theme song to everything I wish to express about it. It has inspired the change in my life which through my book "A Different Human Design" I am going to try to carry on the understanding and inspiration this song gave me. Meaning of "Speed of Sound" chorus | Reviewer: Steve | 10/25/2008 What a beautifully written song. Growing up at the age of 43, the chorus, to me, means "the birds" (people, messages, insights, God (whatever that is), so many different things are "flying at" me "at the speed of sound to show" me "where it all began" (meaning where my life-long struggles began). I'm starting to "see those birds" and "understand". It's like an incredible acid trip, but only 100 times better. Thank you God for giving these musicians the gift of love. I heard some criticizing of them, but mostly from shallow children who just don't get them... as for the interpretation; I can't remember the artist, but one singer/songwriter said: as for it's meaning, I woiuld prefer to leave that up to the interpretation of the listener... so, it can and will have a different meaning for everyone; it just depends where your heart and/or mind is, at the moment! So, while we all may have a different interpretation of the song, none of us are wrong, and in that the artist hits a home run! But this is definitely a great group! It really is pretty | Reviewer: E. | 7/2/2007 It is indeed a pretty song, though I find it strange some find it uplifting or want to dance to it. I find it very depressing. Not in a "cut myself" sort of way, but more like a "nostalgic wish for the past" kind of way. Then again, that's the cool thing about music in general. Each person brings their own unique experiences to the table, and so the notes will hit everyone's ears differently, depending on who you are.
