its a cool song yeah i know these guys form nine ill admit. ill agree with jaime though, althoguh soemtiems it takes a lilp ush to get an old band but still good going strong. look at drema theater, theyve been around 20 years and arent even recognized in america much, however im a DT loyal and always will be. i like C&C but ill still say i prefer Dream Theater anyday :P

awhile back during lunch (maybe 4 months ago.....) a friend asked if ive listened to this song and i said no. he then proceeded to tell me that it was on rockband . so anyway by chance another friend had her ipod with her with this song but the lunch room was LOUD! so icouldnt hear. but about a month ago i went to see transformers2 and the song played on the trailer 4 9 . i thought it sounded familiar so i found out it was the same song!
not a big coincedence but a GREAT song :)

lots of new fans huh? | Reviewer: jamie | 6/20/09
lol this is funny to see a lot of new c&c fans posting about how they just heard a band thats been doing there thing for fourteen years. not making fun though! just thought this was a bizarre post.
please go back and listen to their other albums guys, its all pretty much win. and if you like how anthem-ic this song is then you will love stuff like "In keeping secrets"
to me this guy sounds like he wants everyone to think hes been a fan since day 1. obviously he just found out about coheed and cambria and is a poser.

What about The Amory Wars comics?!?!?!? | Reviewer: Daniel | 5/26/09
I haven't seen any mention of the comic series created and written by Claudio Sanchez that these songs and albums are MEANT to accompany. All the bands songs are about characters from the comics. The bands name is even derived from the comics. Coheed and Cambria are the names of two of the main characters! I've never encountered anything like this, so I find it all fascinating. The Amory Wars (the comic) is about a network of planets called Heaven's Fence, an energy that connects them called The Keywork, and a cryptic warning from God. You can't fully experience Coheed and Cambria's music until you delve into the world of Heaven's Fence. Brilliant stuff. The comics are pretty awesome, too.
Wow... | Reviewer: Jennifer | 5/3/09
This band is AMAZING. Their Welcome Home song kind of sounds similar to a Christmas song I've heard. I think it's called "Wizards Of Winter"? That doesn't really matter, but their singer as well as their instrumental solos are outstanding and wonderful. If you've heard the bands Dream Theater, Rush, and Northwest Royale, these guys sound some what similar to them and all of them are great. Well, that's all I really had to say about this band. I just got to them so, I guess you won't really expect quite much out of me. hah. Thank you! :D
Woh | Reviewer: Paul | 5/2/09
Ok i was never really into these guys but hell ya yo. This song is freakin awesome. I first heard it on the trailer for the movie "9". The band makes it sound great. Wit any other voice I think it would song a bit shaky and sound like crap. As a musician i gotta say just mind blowing....... mind blowing.
Damn. | Reviewer: Zerevor | 5/3/09
It's not many a band that can sound like Coheed and Cambria. They sound great, and the singer's, frankly, crazy vocals blend perfectly with the complex guitar lines, backed by a heavy drum beat. I'm hoping they stay around for a long time.
Pure Progressive Metal....and I just got into them. | Reviewer: Tim | 5/1/09
I have to agree with a lot of the others in this thread. Coheed and Cambria are just getting started. The singer is unreal with his sound, and the compilations that they have put together are mindbending. Not only have they thought out what they wanted to say, they are one of the few bands out there that can actually put it all to music. Their music is what you want it to be. Like the song Welcome Home. The message is right there in your face. It lets you feel it too. Welcome home stirs up emotion and give it a hard edge. I've always been into Progressive Metal and they fit that category extremely well. I think that they will be around for a good while to come. Don't trash them because you don't understand them. Coheed and Cambria are very tallented. I gave them a chance and I really like the band a lot.

My girlfriend had this cd playing in her car and said "Doesn't he have a great voice? I've never heard someone have a voice like this. It's so unique." I said his voice is okay.. he definitely can sing, kind of sounds like the singer from Rush but with more anger. She had no idea who I was talking about. I don't mind a guy who can sing higher octaves, as long as it works with the music. In Coheed's case, it works well.. plus the arrangements of his vocals are cleverly complex. It shows that he's an artist who doesn't just sing/scream lyrics in a monotone, boring way.. but has the ability to make it interesting. Either way, I'm a fan of this song.
