I agree that it doesn't matter how a person is introduced to a piece of music as long as the piece speaks to them. Rock band, radio, word of mouth, live performances etc. are all mediums that this great band has been able to allow people who might not normally give them a second glance a change to experiecne their creativitiy! Though I have know C&C for a while it is actually the memory of my lil brother trying to play this song on his guitar that completely earned it a place in my favorites book

ya know i think if you get stuck between death or listening to the song i would listen to the song because it is really powerful and if you can tell the the middle of the solo it is a little bumpy but man i would kill for that cd album! death man, !!!OUT!!!

I hate it when people tell people they're lame if they've never heard a song before a video game or the radio. Who cares where they got the song from? Coheed and Cambria obviously didn't mind and didn't think they were 'selling out' to Rock Band. I think it was a smart move on their part, because now a lot of people are exposed to a hell of a good song and a great band. And the guitar solo (if that's what it's called) in the beginning is just amazing and powerful. "Welcome Home" is a perfect song for Rock Band and it doesn't matter where you first heard it. If you like it, you like it and no one has any right to tell you that if you heard it on Rock Band first you're not a true Coheed band. Just fuck them.

i've always known of coheed and cambria but i never really listened to there music and then i accidently stumbled onto the video and the guitar rift (i don't know if it's a rift correct me if i'm wrong) in the begging and it blew my mind.

you are so wrong , how people are introduced to music shouldnt matter and neither should it being "over played" if its a good song then its a good song . period . not everyone was born in the lake of good music like you and obviousley if coheed allowed it on there then they dont care if people hear them from a video game first . so why should you .GREAT SONG
Damn you Rock Band!!! | Reviewer: Nathan | 10/22/08
I just wanted to say that Coheed and Cambria may be the most noble band out there. I don't like this song because it has been WAY overplayed too much due to the release of Rock Band. It's sad to say because I've been listening to Coheed and Cambria for years now. If you like the song and have never played it on Rock Band and refuse to ever will do so, my respects to you as a true fan in my eyes. If you're one of those biters who only likes the song because of Rock Band and like to brag about the percentage you got on it, then you are not a true Coheed and Cambria fan. My favorite piece by Coheed and Cambria is "Gravemakers and Gunslingers" which is a brilliant song.

well if you could listen to the music i mean the riff of this song. the riff itself shows hate and you could actually imagine what the lyrics would be if you will focus on the second part of the intro. great song.
About | Reviewer: Laura | 9/9/08
I thought this song was about the writer and him trying to get over Erica Court. He has this fantasy or something about throwing Erica in a grave and telling her "welcome home". It's his way of convincing himself that he's over her when he really isn't.
Of course I haven't read the comic, so I may be wrong.

Well, this is the kind of song that makes me start liking a band. I heard this song half a year ago in my friends basement and loved it. I really like the singing, his voice kills man. Now that I heard this song I started listening to this band like crazy. This is a very good song. So much hate ^_^ Oh yeah and the video rocks
