My husband and I came home from years of ministry overseas very worn and weary; the people we served had been thru a war; the country had experienced much chaos and we had said goodbye to our children as they left for college, midst this. I wondered how to get the strength to go back, tho I had loved our life...I was just bone, deep-soul weary and so was my husband...
We were speaking at one of our supporting churches in South Holland IL and this was the worship song --I sang it with tears flowing and I actually experienced God's strength in my heart and body as we sang. It will always be a favorite song of mine.
Just like the Lord, as we head back this Sunday now to celebrate the finishing of the translation of the NT for the people-group we worked for, during our worship service last Sunday -guess what song opened the service!!

This is one of my favorite worship songs. I have to say that the Praise and Worship team at my church - 1st Baptist of Dundee, FL - does the most awesome, upbeat version of this song I have ever heard! God bless all of my brothers and sisters in Christ!

This song really moves me but you should hear it sung by more than a thousand brothers and sisters in Christ like I experienced at Thomas Road Baptist Church in Lynchburg, VA this past Sunday. We serve an awesome God and this song provides a wonderful way to sing praises to His holy name.

I love it. The repetitive words are powerful and it's a declaration song. God will strengthen us, will minister to us, will make us soar on wings like eagles if we wait on Him.

I really love this song. The lyrics are really repetitive which would normally annoy me but I found that with this song it was really powerful. We sang it in church on sunday and I haven't been able to stop singing and humming the first 3 lines. I like the pace of this song and oh, its just beautiful.

This song is powerful, rising hope in me. I could listen to ‘Everlasting God’ everyday on my way to and from work. I just love it.

I just love this song. I heard Chris Tomlin sing it at Creation NW this summer and I just had to go out and get the CD. I have been listening to it and singing it like crazy... Great song!!!

I first heard this song in church and wanted to sing it over and over again. I then got Chris' version and have almost worn out the CD. Awesome praise and worship song!!
