I saw Alexi Laiho (lead singer/lead guitar) On the cover of guitar world magazine "The Virtuoso Issue" with Steve Vai and Zakk Wylde, i thought "hey i should check this dude out." I bought their album "Follow The Reaper" and all i've listened to for the past say 2 months is nothing but that CD and their EP "Thrashed, Lost and Strungout" Best death metal band i have ever listened to, if you like perfect everything, LISTEN TO CHILDREN OF BODOM you wont regret it. Very solid rhythm, drumming, and bass. But the lead guitarist's(Alexi Laiho's) riffs and solos are truly breath-taking. Plenty of amazing FX, although people listening strictly for the guitar parts may be disappointed by the backing orchestration, which is a little overpowering in some songs. That said, I would still give this band a 9.5 out of ten, simply because of the awe-spiring riffing,lightning guitar attacks, and great lyrics (If you can understand them).
