She complained of "cold knees" and sent her children and dog away to visit a friend's house for the afternoon, buying just enough time to suffocate on carbon monoxide in her garage. For the next year or so, whenever I felt duely inspired, I took the liberty to crank "Auf Wiedersehen" out the windows of my home for the benefit of the neighbors. What a fucking pussy thing to do, kill oneself. I don't know what the history of this song is. I don't know WTF inspired Rick Nielsen to write it. I only know it comes across as a ruthless, heartless, sneering, scathing kiss-off to anyone who thinks suicide solves anything. How appropriate. So for all the hopeless suicidals out there, here's a little sympathy from me and Uncle Ricky. Very little. So long, sucker. Enjoy your time in hell for not having the balls to live or the brains to figure out how.
