To me this song is about a druggies life, the way that they live life to the fullest without realize that its killing them. But the overall song is about a wild night of partying in Dallas that turned into a weekend of partying. A good friend of mine, Paulie, was hanging out with these guys during this time. They just sound good strung together they way they are. Do they refer to something? I'm sure they do, but only the Lyricist(s) know exactly to what. The smells he refers to is to the smell of heroine. I don't know how many of you have actually smelled heroine with cinnamon. A player from the Cowboys (I can't remember the name) got in trouble for rape and heroine use, hence "Ever-Present.." since people would watch him on the television.
