Almost the entire song, he sings about almost nothing except what's wrong with the world, tearing things apart from limb to limb. The world seems like a horrible place. And then at the end, he somehow turns it into an amazing sense of cautious hope. Even in this awful, fucked up world, there's love, and that can redeem the whole mess.
