Well Guys, This song in my opinion is about a Guy, who loves a girl. But that girl A. Doesn't like him back B. Loves someone else. This song is about him trying to get her to like him but nothing works and he shows his depression

Armande, about the part where the song "represents everything single aspect about personal life." i think everyone views songs in diffrent ways be it that it closely relate to their personal life or not. if thats the message that kenny got from the song then that what he got. everyone is diffrent no one thinks alike and for you to hate when people say a song is about them you really dont have a right cus you dont know what they have been through. so next time dont complain about what others say about songs about them it makes you sound like a jerk.

This song makes me think a lot, I don't know why. Yes 'Armande' I agree with you but yeah you WERE a little harsh there. The video's amazing and the song's just really, really beautiful and I think anyone who doesn't appreciate it for what it is should be shot down. That's it.

I hate people who say that a song 'represents' them or, as 'Kenny' said, "represents everything single aspect about my personal life." One: This song was not written about you. Two: The writer of this song does not know you, and therefore didn't write it for you to feel this way. Three: I don't understand how ANY of you can think that this song is actually about a Diary. That, my simple-minded children, is a METAPHOR. But perhaos I'm being too hard on you; perhaps you've never heard of one.

I think this song represents everything single aspect about my personal life. I had so many fond memories of a particular girl and I'm sure that she doesn't feel the same. Indeed it's sad how the truth is sometimes. I still feel that God has something in store for me so I keep my head up. Life is hard; God is good. Don't confuse the two.

this is an awesome song! I am definately one who enjoys deep lyrics, and that's exactly what this song contains! I was reading some of the responses of those who've written before me, and there was one i completely agree with. This is a song about a guy "finding his place" in this girl's diary. (trying to find out his spot in her life, and what he means to her) but he's not sure if the feelings are returned "try to find out what makes you tick as i lie down sore and sick" hes trying to find out what she likes so he can be that person, but all of his efforts are leaving him empty "sore and sick" to be exact. AMAZING SONG! i havent heard a bad song from this band, yet, and i possess all of their albums! keep rockin!

First song I ever heard by Breaking Benjamin was Unknown Soldier - and I fell in love with it. After a while, I was messing around on YouTube, heard a song, and thought, "Hey... that sounds like that one band...!" So I looked it up, and now I'm in love with Diary of Jane, too. I'll have to really start paying attention to this band - every time I hear a new song of theirs, they blow me away.

This song... I can't even BEGIN to describe. I heard it first on a Kingdom Hearts Music Video, and from then on it wouldn't leave my head. I'm not claiming to be the biggest fan of the band in the world, I'm just a girl who happens to quite like this song. But anyway, if anybody reading this hasn't heard this song yet... Go and listen to it. Seriously.

i love this song. it is just so good! i saw them in concert and i definitely recommend seeing them if you get the chance. this song is deep and it is really catchy. once i heard the music and lyrics in this song, it stayed in my head for a long time!

I love the lyrics, because to me, they're about a guy who really loves this girl and he wants to become a part of her life, thus having a place in her diary. Or that he's trying to find which is his actual place in the life of that girl, and that's why he's seacrhing for his place in her diary. I think it talks about the pain and, prhaps, despair of loving someone without knowing if those fellings are returned, and if they're not, trying to get the other person to notice them (trying to find out what makes you tick).

Personally I think this is one of their best songs and I was awestruck when they played it live at RIT
this year, finally hearing them live after being a fan since "saturate" (first album).

I saw Breaking Benjamin in concert and I was astounded by their performance. Having been a fan of them for years, I was ecstatic when they finally came to my town with 3 Days Grace. I love these guys. I even caught a guitar pick! ^.^

The first song I heard by BB was "You"
Someone sent me it, and I was astounded.
Since then, I've found "Break My Fall", "Blow Me Away" and a few others.
It amazes me one band can put so much passion, feeling and reality into so many songs.
