Just hearing the song and reading the words, I think its about the last shot for love. I can relate to it. 15yrs of a what I thought was a good marriage and now i am on the street. It came out of nowhere. Sure we all get passed it and the sun will shine tomorrow but I feel you have to earn your way out of marriage especially if you have kids, like in my case. Songs are songs but every song has meaning,maybe not to the person who wrote it but to the ears that have listened to it. Look at this part "So sacrifice yourself

A lot of you are whining about boyfriends and girlfriends and love and all that stupid shit. And how this song "Helped" you through breaking up and all that.

Thats completely untrue. Its a fucking song. It doesn't HELP anyone. Its a good song, its for entertainment.

Psh. You guys want to know about love? Love is a waste of your life. It will chew you up, stab you in the heart, and then leave you lifeless on the floor. All I want is to find love, yet it's the only thing out of my reach. I thought I loved someone, but now I'm not sure. I'm a sad case....;_;

As a guy I can relate to this song I had a girl she cheated on me felt empty but didn't want to break up cause it would hurt her. My friends and I feel it is about Ben being hurt by the girl he loves deeply and he should leave her but loves her to much to let her go. So yea felt the same.

Just listening to this song makes me think about this guy who was a close friend that I truly loved. I thought he loved me too, but unfortunatly, he had toyed with my emotions and my emotions went to hell from there. Currently, I'd constantly see him with this one girl who I was friends with, it would always hurt seeing them together, laughing, talking, and walking together. It would remind me of the part in this song "you left a hole where my heart should be" He rarely talks to me anymore and when he does all he asks is "What's wrong with you?!". Trust me it's like emotional tourture!

Im with this guy for a couple of months now.. we started really well.. he swept me off my feel and i just fell so deep.. he was everything i've always wanted.. but things changed.. he's no longer the guy I fell i love with.. and I'm just struggling to keep us together that I'm bordering haterd.. this song.. just expresses every bit of feeling I have right now..


I totally understand where you're coming from. It's hard, you know? Being in love, and then realizing that maybe it isn't going to happen. I'm not going out with the guy that I'm in love with (yet!!) and I have so many feelings towards him. He knows too. But at the same time, I feel that maybe there's a possibility that he's not the one. There's a book you should read. It's called "Twilight," by Stephenie Meyer. Beautiful book. It is basically about this girl, named Bella, who falls in love with a vampire named Edward. But then, she meets Jacob and in the second book, "New Moon," (which happens to be my favourite) she falls in love with Jacob because Edward leaves her. It's a good series. Sorry, one of my more random moments. But I truly understand where you're coming from. I really hope everything works out between you guys!!

This song makes me think of my friend kyle. he's my nextdoor neighbor and i love him(but sadly he dosent know) he might be moving and today this song will let him know how I feel about him.


I really hope everything worked out for you! It's hard to let someone know you love them, especially when you're really good friends. Like I told Jan, I'm in the same boat. I'm in love with this guy, he knows, but hasn't said anything. Makes me feel almost....I don't know....imperfect....I honestly want to be with him, but I won't give up everything to do so. I truly hope that he's the one, but....I can't push my luck. He's popular, and I'm not. He's not a jerk or anything, but he is way out of my league(as my friends say) I still love him. I've also been in the same situation as you. You like your friend, and you're so worried that it will ruin your friendship. It's almost like you debate on whether or not to tell them. I did tell him, but he was fine with it. I really hope that everything went well!!!!! Good luck!

Someone said before that it reminds them of that saying and I totally agree! But still, I think this song is more about HER feeling that thin line. The lyrics say to me that this guy loves this girl so much and he will try so hard to keep her but he knows that she will hate him eventually because of the person he is

This song kinda reminds me of the saying, "There's a fine line between love and hate." I feel like that he loves this girl so much, but she ended up doing something crappy. But he love's her so much, he's bitter to all the crap she did. Kinda like a love-hate thing. idk, that's just what i get from the song.

Breath means to me: Its about a deep love for someoned that either doesnt understand the depth of your love for them or is incappable of feeling its depth. He is saying I can find the fire in your eyes ie the spark that she is trying to hide, he is also saying he wont reveal her evil mind the mind that at one point loved him but has now turned cold. I am in this predicament right now with my wife. We were best friends for years and got married we have been married for over 3 years. We have so much in common but I let teh rigors of life drag me down. I quit being fun and started to become a home body. She told me last Thursday that she wasnt sure she was still in love with me and didnt know if we could work it out. Breath totally exemplifies what I am feeling right now. I keep trying to find the fire in her eyes. I hope I can before its to late. She is my everything and the thought of being with out her is more then I can take.

i think that this song is about struggling to stay with someone- of justifying staying with someone- who you love even tho they're changing- whether it be because of depression or drugs or just life. it's about trying to find that person in them who you used to know and love. this song is amazing. and it rips my heart out everytime.

ok so i think that he loved this girl , but eitehr she was liek depressed or something and she wasnt herself . thats why he says " is it over yet ? i cant wait " and he also says " i know that i can find the fire in your eyes " as in that spark that she used to have that he fell in love with . and he says " u left a whole were my heart should be " because she was there and then it is someone he doesnt know anymore and he misses her . and he also says " u have to fight to make it through " ... yeah so thats what i think =)
