The Reviews about Seventy Times Seven (page 1/ 2)

everyone:

adam from TBS had sex with jesse lacey's girlfriend wayyy back in the day when they were best friends in the same band. the friendship that adam and jesse had then ended, and in a phone conversation, jesse said to adam, "you're a subtle as a brick on the small of my back, so let's end this call, and end this conversation." there's no "i" in team is adam's comeback to seventy times seven.

after all of this bullshit, to my knowledge, jesse and adam are ok with each other. they aren't friends, but they don't hate each other. word is that they've toured together. hope that clears everything up for everyone. reading all this incorrect interpretations is getting pretty annoying.

I think the reason that Jesse sang that one part towards the end in a hushed voice is because they're the harshest lyrics in this song. No matter if he screams them or if he whispers them, they'll still have a huge impact.

I just read the lyrics of There's No "I" In Team for the first time, and some of the words are from other songs by Brand New, such as Mix Tape, Soco Amaretto Lime, and of course, Seventy Times Seven.

This song is pretty awesome. Jesse's amazing with words, and his voice is so powerful. Lovee Brand New :).

Its about the original guitarist of Taking Back Sunday, John Nolan, and Jesse Lacey. John slept with Jesse's fiance at the time and this is how he felt about it. If you listen to There's No "I" in Team, by Taking Back Sunday, you'll definitely see the similarities, it's their response to this song

actually although it is from the Bible the other post got it a little messed up. its from Mather 18:21-22. saying that how many times should you forgive someone and Jesus said not 7 times but 77 times. i believe it means that adam or john did something unforgivable (slept with his girlfriend so i heard) and jesse will never forgive him

lyrics | Reviewer: justin | 6/19/07

i love how harsh jesse's lyrics are, and how he says them so soft but they really do some hurtin

shutup | Reviewer: Anna | 4/3/07

ok this is just a great song.
you're all ruining it by thinking about the history and analyzing it.

just appreciate the song cause its awesome.
kthanksbye.

TBS VS BR& NEW | Reviewer: Adam | 3/17/07

This song is one of the best songs by Brand New. I like how No "I" in team and Seventy times Seven mix. If you listen hard enough while Adam is yelling " that's right he said it." you can hear "Have a drink another and drive yourself home, I hope there's ice on all the roads so you can think of me when you forget your seatbelt and again when your head goes through the windshield." I'm a Taking Back Sunday fan but i gotta say this song is probably my favorite.

Jesse Vs. Adam or John??? | Reviewer: Meghan | 3/9/07

I knew about the fight and how the song was about that and pretty much how Jesse sees this as being unforgivable and isn't willing to just forget and everything, but now you're saying it wasn't about Adam??? I was pretty sure it was! Anyway, hit me bak!

seventy times seven | Reviewer: Michelle | 3/1/07

It called seventy times seven cuz one of God's followers asked how many times someone should forgive someone else for the transgression they committed against them, and He replied saying that you should forgive not seven times, but seventy time seven....so like a bunch of times...So I guess Jesse had enough with forgiving, since the song is basically saying how muc he hates Adam of John, whichever. I think it may be Adam tho cuz Theres no I in team and 70 x 7 are like, rival songs i guess. i ono.
