good song | Reviewer: Anonymous | 6/10/07

the way that he is so calm about the terrible things that he is doing makes this song so enjoyable. like someone said earlier, being a girl should make me hate this song but its the opposit i love it. he has no remorse about what he is doing and the delivery of the song makes what he is saying ok. i love this song

good song | Reviewer: fernando | 6/2/07

good song, i can identify with whats going on in the story.

Listen to it | Reviewer: ann | 5/18/07

You hardly ever hear songs like this. Ever. Thats exactly why I love it.

Like someone said earlier, its Jesse's delivery -so calm, so controlled - of words so truly horrible that really makes the song. You can interpret it however you like, but most of the time you're gonna come out with the feel that whats happening is wrong and he just doesn't give a shit. As for myself, I know exactly what *I* think is going on in this song. Its a story thats been told from the victim's point of view so many times and yet hearing it this way really sends the message home better than any other I've ever heard. Its sick because its unapolagetic and thats also why its beautiful. There's no holding back and because of that by the end of the song you feel slammed from the force of such simple, sad words.
These guys are amazing.

love brand new | Reviewer: sam | 2/11/07

the lyrics expressed in this song are amazing.
love the way jesse Lacey sings them.
at first the song didnt mean much, until i read the lyrics. the way he sings about such sinful things and yet without readin the lyrics, it sounds like hes just singing about anything.
anyways... well yea..
love brand new!

Well I have to say that I absolutely love the song! There are no two ways about it. I have to agree with Fall Out Boy that the songs you learn to love never stick at first. I remember when I first began to love that song. It was during SATs my freshman year. I had my CD player with me because I always finish tests with time to spare, so I brought it with me to be my only friend in a time of silence. Beforehand when I would listen to Deja Entendu it would be more of a background noise than anything, but since that was my only source of noise in general, so I was, in a way, forced to really pay attention to what I was listening to. I also had the booklet open so that I could check words that I couldn't understand just in case I wanted to sing them in front of people without being embarassed. I also happen to love the feeling that i get from mellow music, not that I don't enjoy not mellow music, but you know, so the beginning caught my attention because of it's slow melodic sound. And I must say that I thoroughly enjoy Jesse Lacey's voice and the way that he phrases things. So when I was listening to the sweet, lovely song, I was also listening to what he was saying. He was overyly truthful and he said these things in the softest, sweetest voice and what he was saying was truly despicable. I loved the way that he could be discustingly serious and sound so innocent. I know it seems that, with me being a girl and all, I should dislike this song because of how evil he is being to this unknown victim, but I love it. I always like thinking that people who are stupid and image concious are like that and would do that to me. I don't really know why I am telling all you kids in internet-land this meaningless jabber that I think up, but it's really fun to just write this down somewhere where it doesnt matter at all. It just is really nice. Well I seem to be done talking about the song so I should probably stop now. If you have any questions, my e-mail has been provided. Thanks for reading my pile of stuff.
