This song reminds me of all the good times, particularly in the summer, with friends ive had even tho im just 18. But at the same time some of the darkest moments in my life have been shared with this song. IMO...and like assholes we all have one... | Reviewer: Brand New Fan | 7/28/09 it seems to me after reading the previous reviews there are mixed emotions about the meaning of the song...of course one reviewer had it right when they said the only people who can truly know the meaning is the band or whoever wrote the lyrics...but that is the power of music...it means so much to so many...and we all feel something different when we listen to it...whether it be a nervous breakdown, the death of a loved one, hilarious days of reaking havoc in school, those wild and crazy days we all feel like having when life gets the best of us, or just the feeling of being young and in love...to me music is a journey...every song i've ever listened to (good or bad) has had at least one lyric which pertained to a time in my life...hold those lines close to your heart and remember that the experiences we take with us shape us into who we are...music speaks the words we are too afraid to say... It makes me think of when I was a junior in high school- my friends and I always sung the line "We're the coolest kids and we take what we can get." We were hellions in our homeroom class.
