The lyrics are so real and uncomplicated. Being young, running hard, knowing of the promise of a long relationship exists, etc., lets you enjoy your life until it ends. Then meeting so called friends, referred to as strangers, doing things you regret, running hard, blowing money and not caring, all things that are associated with actual lives.
