The Reviews about Babylon system (page 1/1)
------ performed by Bob Marley

Free your minds | Reviewer: Anonymous | 3/1/09

How do we rebel? First you have to wake up.

As Marley sang it: "Emancipate yourselves from mental slavery; None but ourselves can free our minds"

Smoking pot and eating shrooms will help open up your mind and expand your consciousness, and help to free you from the mental conditioning of Babylon. Don't believe the BS anti-drug propaganda you've been force-fed your whole life. If you use the plants with respect and good intentions, they will treat you right. Wake up and be free.

IMF in Jamaica | Reviewer: nick 501 | 12/4/08

For me this song represents the right wing economic policies of the IMF. In the 1970's this organization single handily destabilized the Jamaican government and economy. It was called neo-liberalism in the west, but in Jamaica it was simply known as Babylon System. Fiya pon di government an big up to to Nesta, may he rest easy in the arms of Zion. Jah! Rastafari

The Government system | Reviewer: John | 8/15/08

This song should be the way thoughts of everyone in the world. The Babylon system is the government all over the world taxing, oppressing, and bankrupting everyone. This problem is worldwide and we must all REBEL!

I always thought that he was saying 'white dress', ie truth is a woman whose white dress is being soiled by lies and oppression.. who knows, maybe he really was saying that, i actually prefer it
