In the clip it talks about the main characters in the movie Twilight. He's a vampire and she's not...but they want to be together. I think this song is about people that can't be together, but they are willing to try and meet half way just to try. He would build her mother a castle of sand,protect her from the creeps around her. He would reach for the stars and leave her past lovers behind. Yet she pulls the heavens down to his level, and meets him half way there. What a great sentiment. It resonates so deeply in me, as i have felt the subtle uplifting pull of true love, and for the love of mine, i would do anything too. I wonder though, in the beginning he says "to built a castle so your mom would have a place to stay" ... does this mean the entire song he's talking to his kid? if so then the song is good but kind of freaky.
